    4 day post op pain

Normal...I had it as well. Small slow sips for now and stay away from using a straw. Try to not hunch over when drinking and with your head looking straight to looking up. That really helped me.
  2. Looking good Cowboy!!!! 2 weeks into this and I'm right behind you!
  3. Nope...just started on SAT. It's not terrible hurting but enough to be a pain.
  4. It doesn't feel like I'm coming down with anything...but that could be it. I'm on PrevAcid. Nothing white in the back of my throat...sounds like that's a good thing.

    Weight loss

326 on 4/6 and started my liquid diet. 310 on 4/13 the morning of surgery. 294 this morning! 32 total lost!!! Remember...everyone is different. Based on my weight/height, I was told to expect a loss of 5-6 lbs. a week for the first 6 weeks. 3-4 lbs. a week for the next 6 weeks. 1.5-2.5 a week for the next 10-12 weeks. Finally 1-2 lbs. a week until I meet my normal weight. Not really sure that it's this simple, but I like the math!
  6. Take it one day at a time. I promise...it gets a little better every single day.

    Help!

Don't feel bad about this, BUT DON'T DO IT AGAIN! You do not want to do anything that causes a leak. It's tough right now, (trust me I'm going through it as well - 2 weeks post-op) but time will fly by and you will be able to eat normally soon. Remember why you had the surgery...and don't let old habits rule you any longer. Good luck!

    Sleep

10 days post-op and suffering the same issue. Have always been a tummy sleeper and can't come close to doing that yet. Just not getting the rest I need so sleeping in a recliner may be my next move.
  9. Is there anything else out there that will allow me to get what I need daily? I've been so good on everything else but having to eat 6 gummies a day is almost making me sick. They are too sweet and I find myself skipping them. That's not good, I know.
  10. 11 days out of surgery and I can tell you that it gets easier every day. Same issues as you but doing well now. Just remember...sips not gulps as you move forward.
  11. You asked on the mulit-Vitamin vitamin I suggested? It's a chewable just like what you're taking now, just smaller and you only have to take 1 a day.
  12. You have got to try this multi-Vitamin chewable. Only 1 needed a day and they are tiny! They actually go down so easy... http://www.amazon.com/Bariatric-Complete-Chewable-Multi-Vitamin-Patients-/dp/B007HB8EDK/ref=sr_1_sc_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1429634214&sr=8-1-spell&keywords=best+batiatric+vitamin
  13. My surgery was on Monday. Since then I've had two bowel movements on Tuesday due to medicine from my surgeon but nothing sense. I have been adding MiraLAX to almost everything the past two days but no luck. No gas, no movement, nothing. Is this normal or how long should I let this go? Thanks.

    TMI - Forgive me...Bowel Movement

Marbelsvg...A daily double dose of MiraLAX is the only thing given or suggested by the surgeon to this point. I don't feel any discomfort yet but also don't want this to get out of hand either.
  15. It is my third day and everything went according to plan. Just got home from the hospital and weighed myself for the first time. I was shocked to see that i actually have gained 8 pounds since the day of surgery. How is that possible? Is it the gas, is it the fluids, or is there something else?

    3 Days Post-op Weight Gain?

Thank you everyone! I'm three days into my new life and this is going to be an amazing ride. Thank you all for all of your support and sharing all of your experience. This is help me so much.
  17. My surgery is 4/13 and I'm so ready to start my new journey. I'd bet that this question has been asked a million times here, but I would really appreciate advice as to the best Vitamins to take after once I'm able to after surgery. Are there specific ones you like/don't like? I'm all about saving money, but I'd rather focus on putting the right vitamins in my body over saving a few dollars. My nutritionist has given me a requirement list showing the following. I will be required to take a chewable multi-Vitamin daily like Centrum or Flintstones. I'm also required to take the following daily - 27 mg of Iron 350-500 mcg of B12 3000 IU of D3 1500 mg of Calcium What do you take or what would you suggest? THANK YOU!

    What should I pack?

Bring your own pillow. You'll want it there for sleep, plus you'll want it on the ride home from the hospital to put in front of the seat belt.

    Day 1 of 1week pre-op diet.

Day 1 of One week pre-op diet as well! I actually started doing the muscle milk a couple weeks back...I REALLY like it! 24 gram of protien banana Creme Muscle Milk down! Vitamins down! 32 ounces of Water down! Getting ready for a cup of creme of mushroom (healthy version) Soup for lunch. It's early in the week, but this is not too bad right now. Let's see what I have to say by THU! Good luck to you this week and during your surgery...

    Stress test :(

I may need to correct my statement. The nurses only told me after the doctor looked at it AFTER my test was completed. The nurses didn't tell me during what it looked like, only after the doctor gave them a green light.

    Stress test :(

They should be able to tell you if it's positive or negative pretty quickly. I was told 5 minutes after finishing that everything came back negative. I got about 30 seconds into level 3 and had to stop. Because my heart rate was over 165 for 60 seconds, that's all they needed. I'd call back to see what the status is.
