Yes you do, even if you have the history from different doctors to help you fill in the blanks
  6. You have my support. I wish you the best of luck in Georgia. I have a group on Facebook with people all over the US that can help as well as this page....my page is called April's Bariatric Surgery Journey and Support Group......good luck!!!
  7. I am sorry to hear about your setback. Things will come together for you in time. I know how you feel just had a few setbacks myself. I have to see a Vascular surgeron because the ultrasound of my neck because of the mini stroke I had last year and my insurance deny my sleep study but they are willing to do a home study instead plus I jave to get a colonoscopy because I jave low iron so that dr wants to make sure I am good from head to toe or should I say to ass...lol. Now I have to wait on the pulmonarist to send in the prescription for the home study. You will get there.....just with a patience!!!
  8. All my doctors are affiliated together and with my surgeron. They are all on the system Virtua which is perfect. They also have a database that will me to see all my appointments and any notes that I can print out for my medical history.

  18. That is cool that you were at the seminar as well. I was able to bring my two biggest supporters with me, my son and niece. I felt more at ease to see he is also anal and has a great sense of humor. The first funny thing that happen when I got there was when I had to sign in Eva, was super happy and goes you mist be April. All I could do is laugh. My niece was shock that Eva know who I was before asking for my name. It was priceless! I feel can trust Dr Goldstein. Where do you live at? What have you done so far?
  19. Wow I think I driving my the receptionist at my surgeon's office.....lol. I spent most of my Thursday making phone calls after I was done work. It took me three day 36 hours later I finally find a psychologist that can do my clearance. I was able to get an appointment in April. On Monday I have schedule appointments for a cardiologist, gastroenterologist, pulmonarist, and to get an EDG done. So hopefully by the time I see my surgeon I will be a head of everything. I started grocery shopping for the pre and pro-op.

    Very, very beginner

Start getting all your medical records together from every doctor, specialists, and emergency room visits. For example I went all the way back to 2002 when my weight started to out of my control. I have four doctors, three gym membership, 15 different emergency visits from asthma, joint pain, and a mini stroke, chiropractic, plastic surgery three surgeries, and a muscle bone and joint doctor. I started to educate myself with every bit of information I could find about VSG and other options. Educate yourself everything the good and bad about everything you will have to go through. If you still want to do gastric bypass surgery, that's great. If you have amazing doctor then you can plan for all appointments now. You going to see a pulmonary, gastroenterologist, cardiologist, blood work, EDG and a nutritionist. Research the hell of what you getting into because you don't want to be stared in the wrong direction. I wish you the best of luck!!!! Keep me posted.
