Been there, felt same way for about 6 months, now I couldn't be happier with my RNY choice, I am like a normal human being now. Please be patient and try to relish this experience, OK ?

At what point does the obsession stop?
Steve Puckett replied to her1981's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I have found that sites like MY FITNESS PAL are indispensable !!! You absolutely MUST accurately log your food & exercise . I was quite successful in my approach to loosing weight. If you tell the absolute truth on Protein, calories, and exercise, I find it hard to believe it physically possible to stall at your weight with the calories claimed to consume. I consume 1200 to 1500 cal. per day, walk an hour or two a day, consume 100 to 140 grams of protein a day and I'm 62 years old and...well look at my banner to see my success and I lost nearly all my weight in the first year. Honest consumption and exercise logging will tell the truth, physics don't fib -

Dr. Mun is very strict, he will not hesitate to postpone or cancel your surgery if you are naughty ! Post surgery, follow his advice on eating on the follow up visit, he lets you progress a bit faster on what you can eat than Options class tells you. Just start Protein shakes ( 3 a day ) immediately if you are to visit him soon and go on this shake only diet two week prior to the surgery, it will ensure your acceptance and take fat off your liver to make Mun's job easier. GOOD LUCK !! -

Wow Carol, you are soooo right on target. Its refreshing to hear an honest evaluation of our situations, no B.S. or ...."but they are healthy sugars because they are natural stuff". Its carbs, exercise ( varied ) and WATCHING THE scale. THANK YOU !

Can you eat chocolate?
Steve Puckett replied to MozzaWehsha's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
OK Pedro, I'm just kidding, the truth is I find that a thread like this in a forum like this is just plain silly. I know you agree. chocolate should be considered poison to ALL OF US BARIATRIC PATIENTS.Raw cacao is very beneficial to us, buying a mars bar is what is wrong. Assuming that a question is silly based on ur own definition is very limited in my opinion...and does not match the role of this forum by any means!Just a helpful hint there are many ways to enjoy chocolate made with healthy ingredients like fruits, natural sweetners like agave and healthy oils like coconut. Sent from my GT-N7100 using the BariatricPal App Hmmm, let's see...BMI 21.8 vs 50.6.....now who is silly ? -

1 week post OP, considering smoking Marijuana to ease pain and sleep.
Steve Puckett replied to fattytohottie2016's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Smoking Marijuana , I find has helped me be able to keep nacho cheese doritos down, where I couldn't before. I'm going to try cheese burger sliders next with the help of Marijuana, I hope to be able to. -

I too feel chocolate is important. Brownies, and double fudge cookies are some of my favorites next to Snickers of course. I feel chocolate has led to my success ! ENJOY
