Parvanthi, Great NSV!!!! you go girl. Was your husband impressed with the fruits of your labor?? 4 hours, you must have burned some serios calories! Enjoy the garden. -
Although I haven't lost that much in pounds I am noticing it in my clothes. I went to comedy night at the clubhouse last night and I needed something up to date that fit me. I went to Kohls - the womens section was right at that entrance and it was the W sizes. I started looking around and realized I'm in the wrong area. I stood there and cried. I cried for letting myself get so unhealthy, I cried for my husband who looked on helplessly and my kids who loved me unconditionally. I cried because I was overwhelmed with joy that this journey so far has made a difference in my health and self esteem. I cried because for the first time in a long time I felt empowered, and in control of that ugly weight demons. I beat them, I beat them - I am on the road to rediscovering mysef. I bought a size 14 pants and a 16 cordoroy blazer with a shell underneath and I felt great and I was a sexy thing!

Unless the PCP has a really great answer I would ask for a referral to an ENT. Good luck, it's sounds like it sucks! Keep us posted

OMG what a wonderful response to this thread! I shared not for the congrats thing (although most definitly awesome) but rather hoping through my crazy experiences I will learn about myself and help another realize - it's ok to be - out there- the good the bad, the triumphant and the failures! I as I read through the posts I can't help but feel blessed and inspired to be in such great company! We all should take a bow - for taking control, for learning, for helping each other grow!!!!! This is an amazing time. Thanks guys

Do you have to get fills for the rest of your life.
It's me-Debbydo replied to ladysplenda's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Everyone is different so whatever is said just know it's propable not exactly for you. Most people will have several adjustments within the first year. My Md said not much more after that. He also said most people will lose all their excess weight within the first 1-2 years. Which seems to be pretty acurate from what I've seen on this board. I've had two fills up to 2cc in total. Going from one to 2 was way tooo much for me. I had an unfill down to 1.5cc and I really think it's still too restrictive but I am making band friendlyier food choices for now. I'm sure after the holidays if it's still the same I'll have .25cc out again. Hope it helps. Good luck on your journey! Keep us posted. -
Hey way to go!!!!! Stateside, the thrill of a new clothing size is also a time to stop and say - Wwwwoooohhoooooo! Keep up the great work

I knew when I got dressed this morning I was in trouble. I put on a suit (one of my favorites) that I haven;t worned since the middle of August and the skirt is straight and was clearly too big. Even for my 6am half awake self. So I put on a pair of black slacks size 18 with my suit jacket and went on my merry way. I'm really inbetween a 16 and a 14 and was really holding out to be a true 14 before caving in and buying clothes. Well, what a morning it took me forever to get into Manhattan today (the UN is in town) and I was running late for my appointment. I parked at a meter and proceeded to run across 1st Avenue (4-5 lanes). I almost tripped over my pants- they slid half way down my a***** as I was running. What a laugh I had. My most obvious NSV yet!!! DH and I are going shopping this weekend.
