My little girl is 22 months and very active. I asked my mother if she would be willing to come and help for a week, but I'm going to ask my Doctor his opinion.

I saw a nutritionist at my consultation, but my surgean gave me a list of foods to eat for each stage. So I know already what I can and can not have the test will be to stick to it.

My doctor only requires a liquid diet and a cleansing the day before the surgery.

Mine is to be able to play with my two year old without getting tired so fast. She loves to play and she gets sad when I ask her to sit down because I'm out of breath then I feel bad because she doesn't understand what's going on she just wants to play with her mommy. Oh also I want to be able to fit in the seats of the rides at the amusement parks. Last year I was so depressed I my whole family was riding roller coasters and I was just standing on the sides pretending to have to good time.

I've changed my mind I'm not going to have a final meal. I went back on my low carb diet and that is what I am going to continue to do.

I am curious how my weight loss will go then because my doctor only does one day of liquids then it's straight to mushies.:confused2:

I can't wait to see pictures of you in your "Boogie Night" outfits! I threw all my skinny clothes out because I thought I would never lose the weight, now I can shop for brand new clothes which will be cool!

I agree completely with you. I get banded next month and I'm going to take your advise.

I have to agree with Wheetsin about the "start my diet on Monday" syndrome. But if I decided to I would have my last bowl of Ben & Jerry's "Everything but the....." ice cream! It's my favorite!

Hi April Avengers, I getting banded in April. I will get my official date at my next appointment on April 3rd. I am shooting for the 11th. I can't wait to change my life.

Hi Guys I get my lap and next month and I have 124 lbs to lose. I try not to think about that number and just tell myself to take it slow. I know that it will most likely take a year to lose it all and after doing all these quick fix diets, I am definately ready to take my time with the lap band. I know it will pay off in the end! Maybe your calories are too low. I read somewhere if your body is not getting enough calories it goes into stravation mode and starts to store everything it takes in.

Don't compare your weight loss to your husbands, men loses faster than we do. I have no idea why.

I dont have a preop diet either, I just have to have liquids only the day before and take a cleanser. I just got my magic bullet, I love it, I've been making all kinds of smoothies! Yum!

I think my magic bullet works a little too well:-) I tried to chop up some bellpeppers and onions and it turned them into juice..lol.... I tried to pluse it but it was'nt working. Any adivse?

Hi Guys, I have my final pre op appointment on April 3rd. I will find out my surgery date then. Yeah!!!!!!! I'm getting closer.

My doctor doesn't require a preop diet, I hope my liver is healthy enough for surgery.

Hello, I live in Virginia and I have my first consultation with Dr. Schirmer at the University Of Virginia next month. Has any one had the lap band done by him? What are his requirements? What about fills? How long was your process with him? :cry

36 pounds OMG! That is AWESOME! I called today to get an update, I'm waiting for a call back! So hopefully I'll be banded very soon!
