Sue, I buy the Fage brand greek yogurt at my local natural foods store. I buy the 0% kind. Heres the stats for a 1 cup serving: Calories-120 Fat- 0 grams Protein- 20 grams Carbs- 9 grams ( all sugars, no fiber) I would compare the consistency to sour cream. Its thick and really, really smooth. I don't really like to eat it alone, I like to put a little honey, fruit, or granola with it. Hope this helps!!

I've never been very good at getting rid of the clothes I don't wear. Of course it's helping me out a little right now. I have everything in my closet from a 20 to a 12. Most all of my clothes are not trendy, so they don't really go out of style. They just don't make trendy clothes for amazons.:thumbup: I'm already considering getting rid of my size 20 clothes. So if there's anyone out there interested in some size 20 tall clothes, I'll probably be parting with them soon. Its still hard for me to let go... I'm a pack rat!

I'm very happy Michelle that you talked to your surgeon about this. I have sat back and watched this thread for awhile now. I have a Realize band. I am very happy with my band. My doc is one of the docs that Isuza/Redstar has previously slammed. I am very trustful of my doctor and his decision to place the Realize in me. I haven't doubted its adequacy for the first time. It was not my choice which band I was fitted with, though given the choice before or after surgery I would have picked the Realize hands down. Isuza/Redstar, this post is NOT FOR YOU. I do not care to entertain your comments about how much of a moron that I am for preferring the realize band. I am a highly educated, independent minded woman. I did/do my OWN research. I do not pick and choose random numbers out of context to support my cause. As previously stated this forum is for SUPPORT. We are not here to educate others on medical studies, statistics or techniques. We are here to share our own personal experiences so that others might take comfort in knowing that what is happening to them is normal. We are here to make others feel good in knowing that there are a lot of others going through the same thing as they are.

I think everyone should just do what your doc says. I think that the reason my doctor said not to take it was irritation and erosion concerns (everyday use, not occassional). I looked it up on the Lap Band site and it just says that it can cause stomach irritation. Its not an issue for me because I am allergic anyways so I avoid them like the plaque!! IMHO if your doc says its ok, then its ok. They know best!!

OMG, I'm so sick of my making excuses not to exercise! This is my declaration to do better. Everyday I think before I go to work, I should get some clothes together and go to the gym after work, then I think I don't have time, I've got dinner plans or I've got a Drs appt or its just too cold!! I would (will, being too optimistic) vote for Hillary. I will not vote for Obama. Unfortunately I think that we will end up with another Republican in office. Personally I was a big Joe Biden supporter. He didn't make it till the end though. Unfortunately I think it all comes down to money and thats a shame.

I take liquid tylenol. It works really fast. The taste is starting to get old though. If you have migraines I would seriously consider getting a prescription migraine med like imitrex or relpax. Most all migraine meds are small enough to take whole or cut in half. Most all prescription migraine meds do not fall into the NSAID family. For OTC there is an excedrin that is aspirin free. Not the excedrin migraine though. The only difference between excedrin without aspirin and tylenol is added caffiene. I would also recommend using Head on (apply directly to the forehead, apply directly to the forehead:lol:). It helps me out.

Did you see the one a couple of weeks ago with the woman that had had a experimental lap band years and years ago and they were trying to find it. I found it very hard to believe that they were thinking that it passed through her system. They finally found it while they were doing a bypass on her. It was completely encapsulated in her outer stomach. The younger doc wanted to remove it, but his dad said just leave it. It was pretty wild!
