Hello. I am currently in process to hopefully be approved for sleeve surgery. I had lap-band April of 2011 and lost 50lbs but on a trip to the DR got very ill. In the midst of the food poisoning I spent 2 days in the DR violently vomitting, and we all know as bariatric patients taht is a NO-NO! I came home and had band emptied. For the next 6 months I battled daily with sliming, nausea and vomitting, to the point I couldn't even tolerate clear liquids. During a laproscopic "peek" in Nov of 2103, my surgeon found out I had bad scarring and he couldn't adjust or move my band and he removed it. =( Sadly, I have slowly gained 35 of it back! I have always battled my weight, and am praying for success with the sleeve. I am very active and eat healthy, learning so many rules from my nutrionist with lap-band. My appointment is March 27, 2015.
