Yup, my doctor hates the word never just about as much as I do! Can't ever drink can't ever have carbonated beverages haha that's just not the case, let your self heal up don't put your health in jeopardy and then enjoy your life! just asks side note I see people say " it has no nutritional value so why eat it" to me that is just the saddest term I've ever heard. You know putting your money in a slot machine has no financial value but some of us do it anyway because we enjoy it!

I smoked a cigar about 4 days out no problem today is day 7 and 30 pounds down! Don't worry so much fellas! You still have a life to live!

Just a couple thoughts on Carbonated

When your drinking a beer or a coke ( think back to post op now) what were you eating? Burger and fries? Pizza? Like my doctor told me we associate carbonated drinks with eating unhealthy, this is the reason so many of rules of the sleeve state no carbonation. It's not going to stretch or destroy your sleeve! What's stretch your sleeve is eating large meal after large meal over loading your sleeve! Gas will expand and escape. Just like the gas we had pre op escaped now that gas was probably a little more extreme then a couple of beers but just using an example! I'm sure many of you will come countering back at me and that's great! But for someone who might be in the same situation I was pre op this might help you make the leap to a healthier life! Like my doctor said to say never is ridiculous!

Your body has to have protein
-
I had the same protein instructions as far as liquids any liquid doesn't matter if it's clear or not. My Dr was big on electrolytes so bought some pow erase drops with electrolytes in it and I just shoot a little bit in to my water. And I meant ask what brand shakes have you been drinking?

I'm doing much better pain is practically gone, I have found my self wanting real food but I'm not sure if it's my body or my minds sending me hunger feeling! The amount and can drink at a time has practically doubled from day one to now (day 4). Have you experienced any changes in the mount you can drink?

I was just recently sleeved, had some pain my first two days many gas I think. I did a lot of moving and walking and by day 3 (today) all gas pains are gone! Now the only pain I'm having is in my stomach almost like I've done 900000 sit ups haha! Any advise to help with the soreness? I also had a hernia repair and feel like that might be where most of the discomfort comes from? Any thought?

Ok thank you for your responses, how much weight did you initially lose say in the first 6 weeks?

Going in on the 28th to get sleeved, can anyone describe the feeling? What's life like? Will I still feel hungry?
