    3 months post op pic!

You look amazing!!! Keep up the good work.
  3. I really do think this is due to our hormones being so out of whack after surgery. My face has flared up with rosacea on my cheeks. I only got this read previously when I drank red wine. I also had a reaction on my chest after being out in the sun this past weekend (never had that happen before and I had on sunscreen). I'm trying to get into a dermatologist but none of them can see me until MAY. I really thought my skin would be wonderful because of all the water I'm drinking. DANG HORMONES!!!
  4. Looks like that is the same as the PPI that most of us are prescribed after surgery. It is to help with the acid build up in the new sleeve. I'm on 40 mg of Protonax for the first 2 months. Talk to your doctor here in the states and see if there is something they can prescribe for the acid.
  5. I take progress pictures once a month in my sports bra and workout pants (actually have to do it tonight). It's so hard to look at them now but I know in the long run it will pay off. I have already decided that when I hit goal I am going to have some professional pictures taken of myself. I have never had full body professional pictures taken so I want to do that for myself.
  6. Okay ladies, I have a female question for you. I have read some posts of ladies that had not had their periods for awhile prior to surgery but started them back up after their surgery. Has the opposite happened to anyone? I started my last period the day after surgery (2/19). I had it for 7 days but now I am 22 days late (and there is NO WAY I'm preggos). I'm only 40 years old so I hope that I'm not starting early menopause. Up until now, I have been pretty normal (been off birth control for over a year now). Anyone else had this happen? If so, how long until you started back up?

    Exercise after surgery

I was released for full exercise (but no heavy weight lifting) at 4 weeks. I was lucky that I only had 2 incisions from my surgery so not a whole lot that had to heal. I am still a little scared to do any ab workouts but may try that next week at my 2 month mark.
  8. Yes, my doctor said that the pill is not as effective after the sleeve surgery. They suggested that I get an IUD instead.

OMG 1 Week Post Op NSV

I know the feeling. When I returned to work from my medical leave I put back on my dress shoes and they were all too big. That is a great NSV!!!

    Too much food?

So my plan had my eating no more than 1/2 cup at one time. Even though I could probably eat more I did measure everything out and stuck to my plan. Now that I am 6 weeks out I can move up to 3/4 cup at one time. Depending on the density of the food I can feel restriction of my sleeve. My goal is to still get at least 60+ grams of protein and 64+ oz of water in each day.

    Calci-yuck

My plan calls for 1500 mg of calcicum a day. I started out taking the Caltrate Petities (500 mg for 2 pills) but that meant I had to take a total of 6 pills throughout the day. Trying to space them out along with my other viatmins and making sure I gave enough time before taking my Iron supplement was just so time consuming. Based on feedback from others I bought some of the Bariatric Advantage calcium citrate chews in the caramel flavor. There is only 2 g of sugar alcohol per chew and the taste is awesome (the something sweet that I don't get to often). They are definately pricey but so much easier for me.

    questions about surgery

    1. I did not have a catheter but it was removed as soon as I was able to get up and start walking. 2. After the catheter was removed I put on a baggy pair of shorts that I wore under my hospital gown. 3. I had a friend stay the night with me in my private room. She helped me out of the bed when I wanted to walk my laps.
