  1. Hello everyone, I was sleeved a week ago, and doing ok, what did everyone put on their incisions and congratulations to everyone on their progress or if wasn't sleeved yet ,congratulations on taking the steps to become healthier

    Hw 298

    Sw 270 (9/14/15)

    CW 259 (9/21/15)

I made sure I cleaned my incisions a few times a day, and once it finally scabbed over, I used Mederma. Best of luck and congrats on your decision.
thank you so much, where do I purchase Mederma ?
you can get mederma at the pharmacy section of any grocery store, or any Walgreen's, CVS, Rite Aide, etc.

  3. I went from a 42C to a 36B in less than 5 months. They are still shrinking and I am NOT happy about that, seen as I got a breast reduction 4 years ago! I've had to throw away some pretty nice VS bras as a result.

  4. I have lost 50 lbs. in 5 months and am almost at goal. I average about 2.3 lbs./ week- some weeks I lost more and some weeks I lost only 1 lb. I never stalled- but I think most do at least once. I agree with the others- it really is individual. There is not a one- size- fits all magic number. Important thing is don't let the numbers dictate your success. Success is being healthy and fit.

  5. Hi Ladies,

I have moved states and I have an appointment tonight for the initial group consultation. I have a few questions: 1) Has anyone been sleeved in RI? 2) I have been told that excess skin is not a problem for African Americans. Is that true in your case?

I was sleeved in KS. No excess skin, but I really think it depends on how much weight you have to lose and how fast you lose it-not necessarily race. I was sleeved 4/1/15 have lost 45 lbs since surgery (am 5 lbs. from goal now). That's an average of about 2.5 lbs. /week. Good luck!

  6. Haven't posted on this thread in a while but I wanted to congratulate all the new sleevers and tell the ones who are about to be sleeved good luck! This is one of the best decisions you could have ever made for yourselves. :) I was sleeved on April Fools Day this year and am 7 lbs. from goal: 59 lbs. lost since I started my journey this year. I am healthier (no more sleep apnea, GERD, high cholesterol), more energetic, and certainly happier.

  7. Thank God for this thread! I am 14 weeks out and have dropped the weight very quickly and am close to goal.To be honest..I think I need to reconsider my goal: I was a size 16 when I started this and am now a size 6. I think another 20 lbs. would make me look malnourished- though the charts say I should weigh between 117 and 125! My doc says I should plateau very soon- but I have never stalled and now I'm worried I can't stop losing. Seems like such a silly problem to have! I still can only eat a few bites of food, and I do focus on my Protein first. I've pretty much eliminated carbs, but after reading this thread I know I have to start gradually adding them back in for maintenance. I appreciate you veterans posting this because quite frankly, I was afraid to post my "problem" on any other forum here.
