    I am also in Slidell and had the sleeve on 4-1-15 by Dr Gridley at ochsner northshore. He and the dietician that works with him run a monthly support group. It's wonderful! I could find out if others who had surgery by different Drs can join in. Let me know!

    I went through the exact same thing. I can honestly say it does pass. I am 4 months out and I do not regret this decision. I am so happy ! The only thing that got me through that tough period was Netflix! Hang in there Brandon, you can do this.

    Happy one month April 1st sleeveless! I don't know about you all, but I can't believe how much I have changed in one short month. I just did my weekly weigh in and since I began my journey I am down 40 pounds! I am 6 pounds away from telling the 200s goodbye forever!!! How is everyone else doing?

    Gladys62, I have been reading your journey. I don't know if you've found a new bariatric surgeon but I am in Slidell and have the most amazing Dr ! If you would like his info, I will gladly pass it along. He is so caring, gives out his cell, his dietician emails me back right away with my crazy questions. You deserve good care.     Hey April 1st surgery buddies. I was curious if anyone else has experienced a change in taste since surgery. The protein shakes I loved pre surgery make me sick now. I'm struggling trying to find a protein shake I can stomach. I would love any suggestions. I hope everyone is doing well
