You are in the right place. I'm so excited for you! Christ will be our strength when we are weak. This forum is sooooo supportive. I am just beginning my journey and have been encouraged so much already. I am looking forward to hearing about your progress???????????? -
Newbie here...1st consult 5/1/15
skmnine replied to Jazziminna's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hi! I'm new here too. My first Bariatrician appt is on 4/27 and my first surgeon appt is on 5/4. I'm excited, nervous, impatient, emotional all at the same time. My insurance required 6 months of supervised weight management. So I guess I will be starting jumping through the hoops (blood, ECG, upper gi, psych eval, nut consult and monitoring, etc). We are embarking on a life changing journey and I couldn't be more grateful for this forum. There is so much great advice and support here! -

200 lbs or more to lose?
skmnine replied to butterfly23's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I am still in the baby stages of the process and my heaviest is also my current weight of 346. I read these posts daily and have something I haven't had in a long time.... Hope. Because of all these amazing "losers", I now realize that we can all do this and there is so much support here. What I love most is everyone's honest and open dialog. People share very realistic issues and knowledge is power. Thank you all. -
I am at the very beginning of my journey. I just got my insurance approval to see the Bariatrician and Surgeon. I just want to thank you all for sharing. I have been reading all of your experiences. Because of your posts, I feel like I have a real picture of the challenges I can expect as well as the victories. Now I know that I can do this and I can try to prepare myself for what is to come.
