November 16th, 2007 I flew with my husband at the time and our two children to PA. During the flight I had an ignorant fellow in front of me whom insisted on laying back his seat to sleep on our 6 hour flight. My daughter was 7 at the time and my son was 4 months old having to be held on my lap. My husband wanted to sleep for the flight, he was on the outside seat my daughter in the middle and my son and I by the window. I was humiliated from the get go. Before take off I had to have the husband get me a seat belt extension, so I could buckle, I couldn't hide the belt like I was buckled because my daughter questioned me about it. So I use the extension, and we are getting almost to the elevation we will be flying at and the fellow in front of me thinks he needs to nap and lean his seat back while im holding my son. AHHHHHH I was about to go nuts! I had to raise the arm up between my daughter and I because I was so uncomfortable and didnt fit all that well and she was miserable because I was taking up part of her seat. Needless to say I closed my eyes and cried and cried and said thus will happen NO MORE. I finished out my vacation in PA for Thanksgiving and as soon as I got home I called and started the process for my surgery. What an amazing thing that I chose to do in my life! Never again will I humiliate myself or my children like that.
