    How much time off work?

I agree with everyone else. Each job is different as well as the person. I am a software manager and spend a majority of my time in front of a computer, one reason I feel like I was they way I was. I was sleeved on a Friday and back to work Monday. My bosses and the people directly under me knew what i had done and they were supportive so it made it easier to get into the groove of what i needed to do with Fluid intake and rest. The first week was tough but I'm glad I did it cause it helps you get your routines down right off the bat as my routines at home took a little longer to get down as I wanted to go back to my old ways. If you have a good support system I beleive its better to surround yourself with that than trying to do it on your own.
  3. I was sleeved on March 27th and currently coming up on 4 months post op. I have been happy with my loss so far and finally after my last stall of a week and a half have made it under 300 for the first time on over 10 years. The question I have is the damage to my knees was done before I decided to have the sleeve surgery and I was hoping that losing the weight that I have so far would help them to feel better. It has not and I honestly believe is because I am more active on them than I was before surgery. Now I am currently in therapy to try and strengthen both my knees as a last ditch effort to keep from having surgery but I am not 100% sure it is going to stop me from having my knees replaced. Currently I cannot walk anymore and any other exercising, even pool activates, hurt more and more. My question is how many people have had surgeries after the sleeve and what was it like in the hospital. My concern is that I will not be able to bring in my Vitamins and that the food that I will get will not be enough Protein to help me out. I would be looking at least a 4 day stay in the hospital and this concerns me. I talked with sleeve doctor's office and they told me once I have a surgery scheduled and on the books to have them call their office and they would talk them through what needed to be done, but again I am worried that the hospital here will just not listen to my doctor especially since he is out of town and not the doctor doing the surgery. How many people have had to and where you able to bring in your own shakes and vitamins or are my fears legitimate?

  5. I found these noodles online. http://www.questnutrition.com/quest-pasta/quest-pasta-spaghetti-12-pack/?type=single They only have 3g of carbs all from Fiber. What ive done is mix it with meat sauce of even Ragu light that has very little sugar with some meatballs or even unflavored Protein poweder.
  6. Thank you all for the support. Going on two weeks post op and I am down 50 lbs so far from my pro op date. Everything is going great so far. No pain and all the gas pain is gone. All I can say is keep walking daily and a heating pad helped tremendously. I had some real food yesterday for the first time. Does not take much to fill me up anymore. That is going to take time to get use to but it is for the better.
  7. My name is Matthew Rauterkus and I am currently on day 2 of post op. My surgion was Dr Adam Smith from Fort Worth Lap Band. Originally I was interested in the lap band, but since I live 4 hours away from Ft Worth, we both decided that the best thing would be for to get sleeve. I felt good apin wise after the surgery. The only thing I am having trouble with is the gas that I am still expelling slowly. That is the only pain I have and it makes it difficult to drink anything. I weighed 382 at my pre-op appointment and went on full liquid diet for two weeks before my surgery. I lost a little under 30 pounds byt doing this. The clear liquid diet is hard, but mainly because it hurts to drink sometimes with gas coming up all the time.
