I'm down 50% of the weight I needed to lose. ????????
-
I'm half way to my goal. Down 45 lbs. 45 to go. I broke my foot and was not allowed to put weight on it for 8 weeks, then within a week of the boot coming off, I developed a hairline fracture in the same foot. Again no weight on it. With limited mobility, I guess 45 lbs isn't so bad.

I can't eat bread, which I guess is a good thing. I'd kill for a small bite of grilled cheese with tomato soup. Maybe someday. Right now, it clogs up everything and causes pain.

I had a Mrs Beasley doll. I loved family affair. ????

I'm down 38 since the end of March but I get the cast off my foot tomorrow. I hope being able to put weight on my foot and move more helps me move along faster.

I am so grateful for y'all. I am really struggling too. I have another three weeks before I can bear weight on my broken foot and I am struggling with boredom and mindless eating. Fortunately, most of its watermelon, but my stomach also fickle. I would love to eat more salad, but it won't go down. I went for my 3 month appt and I've lost 30 lbs. I am way behind where I'm supposed to be. It would really help to hear how others are getting beyond this temporary hurdle.

That's so awesome! I am so envious. I broke my right foot 3 weeks ago and am not allowed to put any weight on it. My progress has come to a screatching halt. I have three weeks to go before the cast comes off and I can drive to PT. You can't believe how much I miss cleaning house. Lol.

That's awesome Chrystee. Great work. I've been stalled for three weeks now. I can't wait for this to happen to me.

I love this board. Thanks for the support ladies.

I have lost almost 30 lbs but not lost a full size. How does that happen? I haven't lost a pound in two weeks. I can't eat salads no matter how much I chew. I'm so frustrated right now. I'm a positive person, and grateful for this opportunity. Just stuck.

I try hard (and am mostly successful) in not weighing myself more than once a week. My Surgery date was March 23, and I'm down 26 lbs, not not down a full size yet. The great thing about this surgery is that there is no turning back. We may be tempted, we may stall, we may feel like crying; but it's all part of our journey to better health. Keep up the positive additive ladies. This too shall pass.

I will also be one month on April 23 and I've lost 20 lbs. ????

Wow. Congrats Elle. It's been a rough 3 weeks for me, but I'm starting to feel better. Today I was able to eat my cream of wheat without any pain. Yeah!!! I find if I drink warm tea it helps me get more liquid in. I have been a supersize cold drink person all my life, so this is really hard. I love the feel of a cold drink, but just can't do it right now.

I'm eating about 5-600 cal a day and I haven't lost anything in 10 days. It is soooo frustrating, but thanks to yall, I know I just need to be patient. Thank you for the support!

I'm pretty sure my system is in starvation mode. I can't get much of anything down, but not losing at all. I hope this passes soon. Has anyone else had their staples turned in and oversewn? It feels like I'm trying to swallow down a very narrow straw.
-
Hi Katie, I'm 2 weeks out today. I too am having a hard time getting more than 3 bites down. Even cold drinks are hard. My doctor told me that he had to over sew the staples so they are now inside my stomach. I'm guessing that means my stomach is even smaller then I anticipated. I guess we just have to continue being patient. Hang in there.

How did everyone do over the holiday at family diners? I struggled even after missing everything into mush. I'm trying so hard to be patient.
-
I'm thinking egg salad would tast really good today! Low fat mayo of course. Lol.
-
It's not how many times you fall down, it's how many times you get up. Sounds to me like you just got up again. Congrats!

I think my body is in starvation mode. The scale is not moving, I'm struggling it get in over 700 cal a day and fluid is still difficult. I'm not discouraged since tomorrow is only 2 weeks since my surgery. It's just frustrating. So how many of us are going to Easter diner where no one knows we had the sleeve done and going to try to fake it today? Ugh.
-
I had my sleeve on March 23, and I'm glad to hear that it gets better after two weeks. I am still swollen and can hardly swallow much of anything. It's getting me down a bit not to be able to enjoy a cup of soup or warm tea without a struggle. Maybe next week.
-
When does the internal sleeve swelling go down? I so much miss swallowing liquid without the frothing.

Today is day 9. I'm feeling so much stronger...until I stand up and walk. Then I feel weak. Working hard to get protoen down. About 40 grams avg per day so far. When do I start feeling strong enough to go for walks outside?

Thank you so much for that. What kind of protein can I add to soup and broths that won't change the taste? -
Hi Lala. My surgery was 6 days ago. My incisions are still pretty sore but otherwise I'm feeling better. I'm fighting the daemons in my head that want ice cream.
