Just starting my bariatric journey.  Received insurance approval 2 weeks ago, had first surgeon visit last week and first nutrition class today.  I have always been able to shed any excess weight until 2008, I had a hysterectomy and have gained 100 lbs since.  I recently found out I have spina bifida and other back/spine issues.  I need the excess pounds off to get my health and back pain improved.  I work with a few employees that have had bariatric surgery with great success.  I feel super motivated and ready for this journey.  I have a great sense of humor, and love to be the life of the party :D .  I have been avoiding events due to my weight.  I have a fabulous support system also.
