    Does anyone own a Fitbit?

As long as they inflate the steps consistently i dont care becuase the aim is to improve your own step intake ..... Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk

    cheat!

Im eating Protein chips at 7 weeks out. Surgeon was happy for me to eat the once i was on solid foods. I split a packet into 3 serves though and plan them into my day like all food not use as a late night snack etc Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk

    After surgery, when did....

The incisions never really hurt for me. It was right side muscle pain where they cut through the muscles to pull the stomach out I think the sleeve swelli ng is probably still there somewhat at 7 weeks out Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk

    Does anyone own a Fitbit?

The waterproofed fitbits on amazon are waterproofed by another company NOT fitbit, so the fitbit warranty could be void if it becomes Water damaged. The fitbits in their original form arent waterproof, but some entrepreneurial person obviously buys them, waterproofs them and sells them on. Could be worth it to some who swim a lot but i think id then look for a tracker whos manufacturer makes it waterproof rather than rely on the third party

    Does anyone own a Fitbit?

Mine is. I have the paperwork and literature that came with it that states that it is waterproof. Like I stated above, I wore it in the pool everyday since Valentine's Day until about three weeks ago when my orthopod took me out of the pool until after my skin surgery. My daughters bought it on Amazon. Fitbit Charge HR--waterproof. I don't know if they only made a few of them or what, but I have one and love it! None of the fitbits are waterproof, they are Water resistant - see the link below. You ars likely doing yours damage which will eventually fry it https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1598

    Does anyone own a Fitbit?

I have the charge hr and i love it. Im not a huge exercise fan but im competitive so beating my own and others steps is great motivation. I had a personal best of 14k steps today. I like the sleep tracker, however its not overally accurate. I do find its apparent calorie burn somewhat unrealistic- apparently i burn 4000 calories a day...... Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk

    Work-a-holic!

I found getting up and moving good. The position you sit on a chair at work is more upright making the muscle uncomfotable compared to sitting on the couch etc Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk

    Work-a-holic!

Hey fellow social worker here. I work with kids and do therapeutic work in homes as well as office based stuff. I was back at work after 2 weeks off and managed ok but still had some pain and discomfort sitting at my desk esp. I know the feeling about leaving your clients but this will make you better at you job i think with the increased energy, so a little loss for bigger gain!!! Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk

    Calorie intake

Im 6 weeks out and consume between 500 to 600 calories a day. I am getting decent nutrients and the only way i could eat more is snacking which is a no no with my surgeon so im pretty happy. The weight is coming off which is the important thing Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  16. Nicki we had surgery the same day. I had a stall for about 2.5 weeks and it is just moving now. Just keep on track it will move again. Dont forget to keep up the exercise and fluids Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk

Am I losing enough weight post-op?

Try pureed cauliflower, you can add Protein powder to it or ricotta cheese to bulk up the nutrients Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk

When does the discomfort stop after surgery?

Sitting up at my work desk was uncomfortable until a week ago, so 4 weeks out. It was just muscle soreness but made work a bit of a challenge

    Stomach stretching

My doc is very strong on a balanced diet from day one which is equal amount of Protein, fibre (fruit and veg) and carbs. He prefers we avoid white bread/rice/pasta which i choose to do but nothing is off limits except drinking my calories Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk

Are Protein Bars even worth it?

Im only 5 weeks out and have progressed to real food. Im having a 1/4 of a Quest bar as supper each night. Its a nice treat and has some nutrients as opposed to chocolate etc. Dietician is happy with me having it the way i am Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk

    high protein ice cream...recipes?

I made one with ricotta cheese and banana. 100g ricotta to 1 banana. It freezed hard though so id say make it and eat the same day or be prepared to pull it out if the freezer a w hile before eating. I dont have an icecream maker. Probably would have been better with one Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
