Why am I gaining weight?!?!

I have buckled down! Watched everyday what goes in my mouth (both food & liquid) written down not only what I have eaten but the calories, fat content etc. keeping my calories at 1750 or lower. I was going to the gym getting back to the routine that I was in prior to my daughter leaving for college and my father suddenly passing away. In about 2 weeks I was down 7 pounds, to say totally over the moon was an understatement. Now today I weigh and I gained 4.6 pounds in 7 days!!! Why the sudden weight gain in the short amount of time? What do I do? I had gastric bypass 5 years ago, my heaviest was 265, my lowest was 128. My dr.'s goal weight for me was 175, I eventually ended up at 145 for a good long while. 2 years ago my dr said that he would like to see me at 160-166. I know I shouldn't complain at all since I am weighing 163.4 but when you see the scale go down after going up for so very long it's very discouraging, almost heartbreaking. Having a hard time sticking to my diet

So I am need of some advice, I am almost 5 years post surgery. Over the last few months I have had a terrible time staying focused. I am not pigging out, and I don't eat out very often, even when we do my husband and I split a meal. I have had some added stress over the last few months and wonder if that might have something to do with it. The weird thing is that I don't have over my calories, I keep my Protein intake high, but seem to be craving carbs, and seem to feel hungry all the time. I seem to fluctuate 4 to 5 pounds a week. How can I get back on track and stay there. I feel like I can't talk to anyone in my family as all I hear is that I should be thankful for the weight I have lost, which I am, but they have no clue of the personal battle we all have inside when we decide to make such a life changing decision. Any advice would be awesome. -
I am almost 5 years since my surgery. At my heaviest I was 260, my lowest 128. For the last couple of months my weight has really fluctuated, and has had me seriously worried. On any given day I can gain 5-6 pounds a day(and I know that there is not way to eat 17,500 calories in a day) I keep track of what I eat everyday, I go to the gym, I eat foods high in Protein, low in fat, & sugar. The one thing I know I have struggling with is carbs. If I find foods that are low in carbs, its high in fat, or the other way around. My biggest fear when deciding to have gastric bypass was failure, I know that I shouldn't complain, but it is constantly on my mind. At what point do I call my doctor and ask for help?

I am almost 5 years in, and up til about a month ago I felt great! Pre-surgery I was 260, my lowest 128, today I fluctuate between 160-165. BUT over the last few weeks I will jump 6 pounds in a day! (I eat around 1600-1700 calories a day) keep my Protein high, low fat, sugar & carbs! I go to the gym and drink lots of Water. However my life right now is crazy, we bought a new house last month the day we closed my dad suddenly passed away, my oldest daughter graduated from high school and I work for a real estate attorney who is extremely busy. So here is my question (sorry for the rambling) at what point do I call my doctor and say I need help!! I feel hungry when I know I am not, I worry constantly that I will wake up one morning and be back to 260. My biggest fear when I started this journey was failure. To make it even better we leave for vacation in a week!!! HELP!! Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

Pouch already stretched at 6 weeks out?
aimeebatson1 replied to AnnaValenka's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am coming up on 6 years in August. Over the last few months I have noticed that even though I stay within my calorie count, fat, sugar & Protein limits I am gaining weight. I normally float anywhere from 2-3 pounds per weeks, however from yesterday to today I gained 6 pounds. I am terrified that I have stretched my pouch, I still get full quickly and sometimes still get sick on certain foods. Should I be concerned? Thanks Aimee -

My story begins at age 12, my parents divorced (a very bad divorce). My mother who was the proverbial women scorned, trash talked my dad every chance she got. She would tell my brother, sister & I that our dad didn't want anything to do with us, and of course my dad being active duty got orders to Puerto Rico, and left shortly after they separated. Being the age we were we believed what she said after all he didn't call or write us all the while my mom was sending letter and gifts back and changed our phone number so he couldn't call. Feeling unwanted I turned to food for comfort. Fast forward to high school after graduating I weighed over 200 pounds. A year to the day of marrying my high school boyfriend I was pregnant 15 months after the birth of our first daughter I delivered our second and last child. Upon being discharged I weighed myself and was floored that I weighed the same as I did before having a 7 pound baby. Fast forward to August 21, 2011, I had gastric bypass. I lost weight quickly in all I lost about 125 pounds. I was over the moon that I was finally skinny my lowest weight was 128. I wouldn't change a thing I would do it again. BUT I worry all the time that I will wake up and weigh 260. Right now I have maintained my weight of 150-155 for a year. But lately I feel like I am slipping back to my bad habits. What can I do to get back on track with healthy eating and good food choices? I am so depressed that I am going to fail. I keep a log of everything I eat and have tons of motivation quotes to help. I have a high stress job and recently realized I am a stress eater, what can I do to get back to healthy eating habits and loose 10 pounds so that I can reach my goal weight of 145.
