Bizzy Bee the cruise will be great. Just think of all the activities that will burn calories while having fun. I have been on 4 cruises unbanded and will go on my first (banded) in Dec. My advice is to eat in the diningroom as much as possible and stay away from the buffet. The courses in the diningroom come so slowly that you are very full and satified before dessert time. Pick a starter with protein and by time the entree comes you will be able to avoid the carbs and eat a little more protein and veggies. On Carnival they have a section on the menu called Spa Meals. The calories and fat etc are all listed on the menu. They are quite tasty and there are even low cal ,sugar free desserts. Have fun I wish I could go too.

Okay Seriously how much do you eat?
Linda44 replied to armywife4life's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
My surgery was on 5/5/08 and I have had 2 fills for a total of 2cc. My doctor only fills 1cc at a time. I have very little restriction and can easily eat 2 cups of food at a time. I am almost always hungry and have to restrain myself from eating all day long. I have not lost a single lb. since surgery, but am exercising and staying between 1100 and 1600 calories. I need restriction soon. Any suggestions would be appreciated. 300/258/200 H/C/G -
Cinco De Mayo Bandsters Update Please
Linda44 replied to Parteetime's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi, I am a Cinco de Mayo bandster. My first fill was a week ago. My dr. starts everyone with 1cc. Needless to say it made little difference. He said I could come back in 2 weeks instead of a month if I had no restriction. So today I changed my appt. for next Tuesday. I think one more fill will make a big improvement, since I am tight at times like mornings and under stress. Overall the fill went well I have not lost a lot of belly weight so my port was deep. After one try I went to X-ray so he could see it better. The second stick was more painful but tolerable. I'm assuming the second fill will go pretty much the same. I,like many have not lost any weight yet, just gaining and losing the same 5 lbs. I am definitely having that last supper syndrome now. I didn't have it with the pre-op diet and actually lost 45 lbs pre-surgery. So I feel I am still doing well overall and will soon be done with these mind games. I am trying to listen to my body and am confident I will make progress soon. -
I had my surgery at Foundation Bariatric Hospital in Edmond,OK just north of OKC. They are all inclusive from pre-diet to surgery to fills and support meetings. During my first fill this week I overheard a phone conversation to the receptionist. They were looking for a fill location and was told that for $2000 they could get a year of fills and a couple dietician visits and so on. Since I only heard half the conversation maybe it would be worth asking yourself. www.weightwise.com

Barbara my surgery is May 5th. I'm in Oklahoma but my sister lives in Dade City (small world). She is an OR technician at Pasco Hospital. Are you having the surgery there. Linda
