Absolutely was fearful of not being able to "fun" eat. What I've been doing these days that I am on the liquid diet is looking up recipes & meals that are healthy but I'll still LOVE. Aside from that, moderation is always key. It's unreal to think you will NEVER AGAIN have certain foods. Good Luck!

The facility is small but organized and very clean. The doctors are very attentive and knowledgeable. The recovery center is fabulous, comfortable, clean and a nurse there 24/7 and a doctor there all night.

I was sleeved by LTVSG yesterday & everything has been awesome.

I was hoping someone was going on Monday. Can't believe it's time already.

@ cmhueto when is your surgery with LTVSG?

My surgery is coming up really soon. Monday, May 11. Getting so nervous.

My flight gets in at 9am and I depart at about 4pm.

Hopefully it'll just hold you up a few days.

I figured as much. I read some horror stories that made me second guess myself.

Those who have been to TJ already, is the area fairly safe. I know it's a big city.

Ruben is not so good about returning emails in a timely manor. However he is great about returning calls.

Keep me posted on your date. What type of foods are you eating now? Are the gas pains gone? TIA Honestly I didn't have much gas pains. I stayed on water only for 2 days post op though. It was my choice to do so. I didn't feel hungry and water worked for me. I have bloating issues but I have had them since way before I had my surgery. I am Hashimoto's Hypothyroid and bloating, constipation and other gut issues are a norm for me. As far as gas, I get it on occasion but feel it is due to my hypo. As for food.....I am slowly introducing solids to my diet but only at night. I have a protein shake for lunch and breakfast and some type of solid soft food at night at home that way if my body doesn't like it I am where I need to be to deal with it. Protein drinks are a huge staple for me. Getting enough protein is pertinent and with just 2 a day, I am getting 86 grams of protein. What shakes are you using?

Is anyone going May 11?

I am scheduled for May 11 with VSG, Dr. Maytorena. My husband will be coming with me.

First, there are complications with anything. Do you ladies have Hlth insurance? I do but the sleeve isn't covered. If there are any complications, I will get seen by my PCP and go from there.

I am getting sleeved by Dr. M on May 11. Getting nervous.

I'm not getting sleeved until May 11. I'm getting more and more nervous.
