  1. Sometimes I wonder if I am doing this right and I feel frustrated because I either don't eat enough protein or I over eat to compensate a missed meal. I work about 8-12 hours a day and just wondering what and how everyone else manages their daily food intake especially when working. What is your daily menu and how do you maintain it?

    What else?

Thank you to all of you for this feedback and support. Greatly appreciate all these tips. Gives me hope after crying for several hours last night thinking that there was nothing that I could do to make this issue go away or at least make it look better. 2 months down 4 to go (hopefully) but at least I got back up ideas now. Thanks!!
  3. Hello, I have read about how we loose hair and how this is normal and we can't do anything about it along with making sure that we are taking the proper amount of Protein and Vitamins. What I haven't seen is the little details, like what shampoo do you use to improve your hair? Do you wash your hair less or more? What products do you use for your hair? A special brush? Etc... Guess I am just going crazy as I was sleeved on 3/2 and my Doc said it was too early to start loosing my hair. My blood work came out perfect. Today I was outside in the sun (sky was cloudy) and I felt my scalp hot when I got home I looked in the mirror and realized that I am getting bald at the top of my head. I guess I am just one of the many that loose more than others ???

    Craving Solutions

Yay!!! I found a same surgery day buddy!!! I do miss my soda but I have done a good job in not drinking and sticking to water. It's hard but I hope the craving will soon pass.

  7. Hello everyone!!! I was sleeved on 3/2. My pre op weight was 249, post op 237 and currently at 211. I tend to get stuck for a week or two in the same weight but I don't get discouraged. I am happy with what I have lost this far and remain excited For the pounds that will continue to drop. I have been reading along and several items that you all have shared have helped me. I also read that several of you don't crave the bad foods and taste buds change. Well my cravings are still present and my taste buds are the same. I was wondering if you could help me on how to manage these cravings. I love drinking coke or a beer in a hot summer day and obviously now I can't and have done pretty good but I still WANT IT !! LOL!! I also love chocolate cake and any type of cake especially cheesecake and it is very hard for me but I have refrained from eating them. Do you have any alternative to these foods/ cravings?

    Regret

GERD!!! I will never forget waking up at 2am, unable to breath because of this burning sensation in my throat!! After my surgery, I was told to take omeprazole every morning for at least 2-3 months after my surgery to prevent heartburn. I have to say that I have not had heartburn or this awful experience that wakes me up at night since my surgery 3/2. It will get better. As for the weight loss... Ugh!! I too get stuck and not loose much. I was at 2 weeks without loosing 1 lb and suddenly I lost 4. I guess I just have to be patient and remember that I will get to my weight goal !!

    First day back to work

Seems like you and I had the same surgery????. I only took 2 weeks off and it's been hard!!! My job at times requires that we go out and eat with the team. So far since I have been back, I've been going to restaurants 4 times in 2 weeks. Unfortunately for me these lunches at mandatory. I am on my 4th week so I stick with soups and take the left overs home. I guess I could have been honest but I just could not deal with the judgements of people who don't know me. They have told me that they can notice my weight loss so I just say thank you, smile and keep working. Good luck!!
  12. Hello.... Newbie here. I just found this forum and was glad to see some responses that answered some of my questions from other sleevers. My scary issue is that I don't feel full?!! I had my sleeve performed on 3/2/15. My original Weight was 249, pre op 239 and now currently at 225. I'm not complaining about my weight loss as I think this is awesome!!! My concern is that I don't feel full. I am on my 3rd week of full liquids and when I drink my fluids and can't tell when to stop. Obviously I follow the measurements but my concern is that this was the reason of my weight gain. I keep eating!!! Am I doing this wrong, how do you know when to stop?
