I am going through the 3 week stall!!!! Glad I know it's normal!!! I am trying to eat every 2 hours and up my protein to help my weight loss. And I finally started to walk a little.

Hi all. How many calories should I be having 5 weeks post op. I thought I heard the doc say he would love to have me at 1000, is that correct? Did I hear him wrong? At first when I went last week I was shocked because I could barely eat 500 but since last week my appetite has picked up. Doctor said to try to eat every 2 hours maybe so I can get the protein/ calories and nutrition I need. I ate 1000 calories for the first time today and tried to eat every 2 hours. Is this too much? I am trying to eat every two hours because I've stopped losing weight and wasn't getting enough Protein. Will the addition of protein and calories help me lose weight now that my appetite has picked back up?

My scale has gone down every day after surgery I stepped on it today after day 10 and it did not and I barely had much to drink the day before. I drank about 8 ounces total thru-out the day of Activia drinkable yogurt, it does have a bit more of the carbs and sugar's then I would normally intake, but I barely had any protein that day so I figured I would be okay. I know it sounds ridiculous to be upset but I feel like I'm literally drinking nothing other then sips.

I'm irritated!!!! I have moved on to creamy soups and drinkable yogurts about I can't seem to find drinkable yogurts that are low in carbs and sugar. Nurse said I could do Activia but it's full of carbs and sugar.....help?

Hi all. I am 5 days post op and I have black tarry stool, usually after protein shakes. Anyone else experience this after surgery.
