Hello All,

I'm 41 years old with a bmi of 52 and am scheduled for surgery on March 26th. I've been overweight my entire adult life. I hurt my back when I was younger and one thing led to another and I found I weighed 300 lbs. I had back surgery 5 years ago but have extensive nerve and muscle damage, so excersise Is difficult. Anyway enough woo is me.

My husband has been amazing and we have been saving for some time to do the surgery. Our insurance through his work has a clause that does not allow bariatric counseling of surgery.

Anyway, I have read through the boards and see that I have many of the same feelings and concerns as everyone else and that makes me feel better about all the emotions.

I look forward to seeking support and advice for this community.
