I was sleeved on 8/12/15 and have lost 71 lbs so far. Started out at 260. I am 5'4.

I would love some advice also. I was sleeved on August 12,2015 and started at 260. I am currently sitting at 191.3. Have pretty much stalled the entire month of January. Kinda frustrating :/.

Please help- would like to know some people's daily menu.... I literally eat the same things everyday. But since hitting a month long plateau I need some new ideas. I'm afraid to change choices wo some guidance

I had a ton of nausea. Actually I had to spend an extra night in the hospital because of it. I had my sleeve surgery last Wednesday and was discharged on Friday.

I was denied because I had been on a medically supervised liquid diet for 6 months and lost 50 lbs. however when I went off of the diet the weight quickly came right back. The reasoning for denial was "failure to comply with previous weight loss." Ridiculous. I have a bmi of 44 also

I will be getting sleeved on August 12th

I am August 12th also

After one denial my primary care doctor sent in an appeal! I was approved today. Surgery will hopefully be scheduled for the beginning of August. Any tips would be very helpful

Post some pics!!! Your story was wonderful. Congrats to you

I actually had an appointment with my primary care doctor today. He was actual pretty pissed I was denied. He said he would write a letter in reference to past history with diets etc and send it in to the insurance company for an appeal. He told me that if that does not work he will keep trying. My fingers are crossed.

I have united healthcare.

I live in Maryland and it looks like they are on the list of states who approve it. I am going to my pcp dr next Friday to see if he can write a letter also. That might help my appeal. I will at least appeal it one time. Thanks again for all of your great info. It is GREATLY appreciated!

Omg thank you so much for pulling that information up. I have a bmi of 41 or 42. There explanation to me was that I was on a dr monitored weight loss plan and lost 40 pounds but did not keep it off in a years time frame. Therefore they feel I will not be a good candidate due to my "lack of complying" to the previous diets I was on. Are they serious?! It's not like I want to weigh what I weigh! If I could manage to keep the weight off I would :/

I honestly thought I met all the criteria so I was very shocked to get the denial phone call. I have united healthcare.
How much exercise do you do weekly?

Has anyone experienced weight gain from going to the gym? I know it's better to exercise for many reasons but boy does it ever hurt when you step on the scales and you've gained a few pounds :/
