  1. I have lost 104lbs since March and 130 lbs since the pre- op diet. I was walking 8 miles a day. But I hurt my foot so I stopped. I will start again soon. I am not following my diet like I should due to the holidays and my birthday but I plan to go back on the straight and narrow this year because I am 36lbs away from being under 200lbs. Congrats to all of you who have lost significant amounts of weight. The hair loss is a bitch but I have found a new and expensive hobby of buying cute wigs. Which look great on me.
  2. I went for my 6 month check up today. I am down 83lbs since March 11. I have lost 110lbs since October of 2014. I weigh 255 I would like to get down to 160. My Dr. Told me to exercise and try to get as much off as possible because the weight loss slows down at 12 months. I am going to sign up for a boxing class. Time to get the next 83lbs off. Good luck and congrats to all March sleevers. We tha best lol

Congratulations to everyone who has hit goal or is close to it. I still have a long way to go.

    March Sleevers

I had My surgery on March 11. I am doing well. I was very uncomfortable during the first two weeks after surgery but now I feel good. I have lost 45lbs so far and my partner who didnt have the surgery has lost 49lbs. I haven't been under 300lbs in years. I read the posts from people who have regained their weight and it makes me scared that this will not work long term. I am trying to stay positve and make lifestyle changes that will last a lifetime.

    African American Sleevers

Hi I had surgery March 11 2015 HW: 379 SW:339 CW: 304 I am doing well so far. I was sore for the first 4 week and I had anxiety about my gallbladder. Now I have anxiety about eating too much even though I eat very little. I am obsessed with the scale. Reading stories from people who gained their weight back also causes me anxiety. I really miss eating. I know that eating a lot is what got me to almost 400lbs but I still miss it. The psychological factors that go along with being sleeved are worse than the physical ones. However I am happy with my progress and the reasons why I got the surgery are still valid. As Black people we struggle with being overweight and obese and it has shortened our life span. My father died at 49 from a heart attack at a restaurant. I hope this surgery adds a few more years to my life.

    March Sleevers

I had mine on March 11. Wow it seems like a lot of people are having March surgeries.
  7. I get it. Mourning your old life and the true enjoyment you got from eating is hard. You should go talk to a counselor I think that would help you to adjust to your new life.
