Reality Check- I hate my new body

I still have a long way to go but I did read a lot about these problems and just after my surgery I started putting money aside for the next surgery. I plan on getting a thigh tuck, my bat wings and a bum left at the same time. As I'm planning on another child in the future I'll leave my tummy and boobs time down there and they can get attack and fill. I'm doing this for me not for anybody else and I don't feel judged by having to do these things as I know that it will be important for my own self image and self-healing
  5. In February 2009 I had a band placed and lost 35 kg over two years. It was a very slow process as my metabolism was very slow and I could eat hardly any food. In 2011 I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy in my lap band moved and I put on 75 kg. and a maximum of 175 kg in October 2014 I had the band removed and a bypass surgery. My two nights day became a seven night stay due to major complications which resulted in me having to additional surgeries that same week to fix. Since then I have now lost 48 kg and have never been better. I no longer suffer from reflux and I'm careful with what I eat but I can eat which is more than I could with the band. Only downside is in the last few months my hair is falling out a bit more than normal and I've been getting bad vertigo for no reason. Still would never change anything. Best decision of my life. I live in Brisbane Australia and happy to talk to anyone in Australia needing advice
  6. I have a lap band that slipped and had the bypass done I have lost more weight on the bypass in the restrictions are very similar except they are permanent and your film awful with the bypass. My two day surgery did end up being seven nights in hospital due to complications but I have been told that they are really and out of 10 people having surgery the same day as me I was the only one to stay more than two days. If you eat too much but have a good metabolism a sleeve might be better but if you have a slow metabolism in the bypass is perfect for you. I haven't had any reflux since the surgery six months ago and have lost 50 kg already
  7. I find I can eat more sometimes and different foods that I could on the band. The band was great if you over eat but mine was a metabolism problem so the bypass is perfect for me. And my band moved during my pregnancy.
