Anyone start pre-op diet early?

I started drinking protein drinks and tons of water all day and then just eating whatever I wanted for dinner about 2 weeks before I was supposed to started my 2 wk. liquid diet pre-op. I just felt like I wanted to get myself in the right mind-set before going totally liquids only. And I've lost 13 pounds already! I'm supposed to start liquid diet on the 14th. And my surgery is scheduled on the 28th!!! -
I have RA. I haven't had surgery yet. I'm scheduled for July 28th. I was wondering about my meds; nobody has said anything about stopping them, but I know when I had a different surgery a year ago, they made me stop taking them. Sometimes, I wonder how closely the doctors pay attention to these details!?

My surgery is scheduled for July 28th. I start my liquid diet on the 14th. I'm so excited because it has taken so long to get to this point and I'm ready to get it done. But I get pretty nervous about it too. I'm not nervous about the surgery, but more about post-op. Will I really be able to do this????
