Hello ladies I've been home since 3pm, I came home and all I did was sleep! The pain medicine they had me on was way to strong for me and I couldn't sleep so that couple of hours was the best sleep I've had since surgery. My husband bless his heart is helping out so much but has to go back to work tomorrow. I'll have both kids with me. It makes me so sad to not be able to cuddle them as usual but I know this will pass. We have to force ourselves to take it easy and not do too much. My grandma will be coming over to help with my kids tomorrow....I'm so happy to see you all on the other side and doing well. This is just the beginning but the pain will ease and soon we'll be back to normal <3

X-ray came back, NO LEAKS!! Eating ice cubes now

Mine is supposed to be outpatient. I'm supposed to get there really in the morning and be released by that evening. This way it's more affordable for patients since it's less time. Mine is also being done at a surgery center and not a full blown hospital. Oh okay! Wow that's awesome! Especially because it looks like u have babies, it's been so hard to be away from mine, all I want to do is hold them, we live about 35 minutes away from the hospital....

X-ray looks good! No leaks :') praise the lord, now let's keep it that way! Lol Heads up on the drink they make u drink for the X-ray, it's pretty gross and u can't wash it down after words, u can only wash ur mouth out...she told me I could just gulp it but I didn't wanna risk it no matter how nasty it was lol

Getting ready to go to my X-ray to check for leaks, pray for me guys! If no leaks I can start to sip and eat SF liquids!

Since your surgery was later in the day? My surgery is in exactly a week. I'd like to keep up with you and your progress since we our surgeries are so close! I believe this procedure is an inpatient only procedure? out patient is anything that doesn't require u to be admitted at a hospital...I could be wrong though...but ive seen it vary to only 1-2 nights usually it's just an overnight stay without any complications...and of course feel free to ask me anything!

Good morning @@AquariusDiva! So glad to see you are doing good...I had the same whole "doubt myself at the last minute, let's bust out of here" feelings too! Haha I even told my husband that I wanted to go home...so don't feel alone! We had so many emotions and fears going through us that it probably made it seem better to just go back to old ways, but we've done that way too many times, we deserve results, something to show for our hard work! Your little boy is adorable, all I keep thinking about is holding my girls, the prayer I said right before going in was that if I could make it through this and hold my girls that I would take care of everything else❤️ I also had to wait in the recovery room for some time before going to my own room, I felt horrible for some people waking up yelling out, one guy they didn't take the tube out of his throat prior to making him conscious...I've never been a nurse so I won't judge, but it was hard to hear him yell.. Any who I'm starving so I'm going to take a walk to keep my mind off of food!

One thing I wanted to mention is how itchy I feel and everywhere!....I have no allergies to anything, they are giving me benedryl for it which helps but it doesn't take the itchiness away completely....just wanted to share

How did it go? I got revised from band to sleeve this morning and feeling great (all things considered lol). Not about to run any races quite yet That's great thundergrrl!!!!! And haha same here! I was expecting a lot of pain just preparing myself for what some were saying here and I guess I was a lucky one...just have some soreness but the hydromorphone (morphine?) is taking care of that ...I have a high tolerance for pain though too so that could be it. My mouth is dry still and sleep is always difficult in a hospital, but I'm also an extremely light sleeper. They just came in and took bloodwork, I'm guessing the doctor will be seeing me around 8am Hope everyone is doing good! Check in here if u can, I'd like to know yall made through fine

I have been in recovery for I want to say 5 hours, and besides a dry mouth and some Soreness I am doing awesome! my happy button may be doing the trick lol I can walk and move just fine, mouth feels like the Desert lol but they have these sponge tipped sticks that I can stick in water and wet my mouth....one thing I'm hating is constant dozing off, I know it will wear off but it makes conversation very irritating and hard....anyway sorry it took so long just wanted to give an update! sorry for misspelling, it's the anesthesia I promise haha

I'm about to leave myself for the hospital. I've spent the morning cleaning just trying to keep myself busy and off the fact that I'm a bit hungry and would love a cup of tea. Best of Luck to you! Thanks for thinking of me @ladycook9713...I had to do only liquids the night before and nothing to eat at midnight prior to surgery, so ull probably want an early time if u can! bur I didn't have any say in that matter lol I have 20 minutes until I go back! Im all prayed up!

Here at the hospital, nerves are going crazy, but nobody would know looking at me lol...I bet some of you have already gone in for surgery, hope everything is going well!

@ladycook9173 I'm from Austin! I actually lived in the metroplex and foot worth area for some time when I was younger, it's the only place I really saw snow haha

It's almost midnight here in Texas which means no Water, no nothing! "My bags are packed, I'm ready to goo..."lol ugh, I won't lie you guys, I'm terrified! I hugged my two girls a little tighter tonight, risk of complications are low, but they are there and I'm trying to pep talk myself with all the usual things people say when they don't want u to stress...I don't care about the pain or not being able to inhale food anymore, I just want to come out on the other side and live my life the way I was meant to! Hope you guys are having a great night! ❤️

Wow that is amazing! I am so glad that you are still here, You have a mindset that will offer so much success! I don't doubt we'll all be seeing a thinner self soon lol and I can't wait

I actually asked for a surgery date at my second appt, I kinda needed a goal in mind to push through those times I wanted to give up during the pre op diet. Some surgeons require a certain percentage of weight loss prior to operating, their reasons can vary, but i think it all comes down to safety and commitment to change.

Sleep will be hard for me too! if u can't sleep feel free to come here and talk through your emotions, I'm sure we are all feeling similar....I have Been non stop researching all day, it's like I'm trying to reconfirm or convince myself that what I have already decided is the right thing, Silly isn't it!

Hey everyone! Glad to hear ya'll are doing good and keeping busy! And update on me: Enjoyed my last high protein meal last night..Ive been drinking my orange isopure since 8am and I haven't even finished half of it. I'm trying to get as much water in as possible. Having to make food for my family is harder on only liquids, but I'm managing well the hardest part for me aside from only liquids is not drinking after midnight or in the morning and not letting my nerves prevent sleep!
