Ohhhh, I think you are all being to kind and civilized. I have a mean streak right now because I am actually very hungry, that cowardly and hurtful "F@#$" needs a kick in the ass and hard! If you have any clue as to who they are I will take it from there and make sure they think twice before trying to gouge at people from behind a wall. Trust me, any one who behaves like this tries to make everyone in their path miserable. Ignorance doesn't even begin to sum up this ugly person. Oh, I am really peeved for you. That web sight should monitor what's posted. Hopefully that loser will come in again see your accomplishments and be ashamed for the horrible comment. One can only hope. I think this is where "what does not kill us only makes us stronger"…then we kick their ass! Okay, got it out of my system

Good for you to try…life only happens if you reach out. Just be careful (which I know you would be) and let the romantic story continue…how fun! Obviously, let us know how it turns out. If you don't mind.

I Fell Off The Wagon Big Time. Please Judge Me Harshly!
PMJ replied to Proud2BMe's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank you for making me scream out loud...Have to say you beat me hands down. I suppose misery loves company, in the sence I thought I was the only one or pretty close to the only one being BAD. Week before Halloween was eating sugar with no boundaries, then 10/30 got back under control and started back on this web site. Makes me realize what a truly inspirational and much needed site this is. Every thing from a to z. Found in the throws of indulgence just give the stuff away or throw it out, it's an immediate way to address but not the underlying reason WHY (?) That is what I deal with now. Otherwise, I might beat you next time... plus 2 pears. So, thanks to everyone that chips in with thoughts, idea's and advice because we are out here listening…and re-learning. If you feel it coming on again feel free to contact me, we can help each other. Hope to hear from you. Cause we are in it to win it. -
Thanks Ladies, That's a great big "Good to know" cause those bugger's can really cripple you. Will add in the coconut Water. Any suggestions on brands because have tried before and thought …not so good. But lots out there.

Surgery is 11/17 and starting to freak out!
PMJ replied to losing100#'s topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Don't think it would be normal if your mind didn't race all over the place. Just take a deep breath and remember why you even started down this path. After your surgury just follow what they tell you to do…no short cuts, cheating, thinking "well just this" be patient it all falls into place. The discomfort passes and if you follow along you and your 2 children will enjoy life so much more. Pretty much did this on my own with 7 pets to care for and an OCD condition even then could not put aside for more then 48hrs. With 2 kids your a strong person and will prevail. I am excited for you all. Nerves aside, Go for it! -
This site really helps to follow, got down 40 lbs but still have 25 more to go. Time to follow the rules again. Thank You…your a true inspiration!

ADULTS SAY THE MOST STUPIDEST THINGS!
PMJ replied to hollybower's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My response to 2 people in my bunco group after hearing the usual "just diet and exercise" ... GEE, WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT Have found you don't really need to tell everyone. Close people yes (if you want) everyone else not necessary. Only what makes you comfortable. Because life is about change -
I know this is going to be WILDLY popular... ;)
PMJ replied to Elode's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
This by far has some of the funnies answers I have ever come across. It's such a great idea 'cause I have been a sugar hog for about a week before Halloween. Started back at BP's to see if would help…never even thought of "liquid diet". So... I am late to the party but will give it a try, shoot for five and hope for the best. Thanks -
bbq guys that love to cook and drink good red wine
PMJ replied to oldmike's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Amen to all of that. Once your up to full speed again it should all fall into place. Just in much smaller amounts but still enjoy (if not more) every bite and sip. Wish I lived close cause I bet you make the neighborhood smell good! Best to you and quick recovery -
Weird Pain ... started this morning
PMJ replied to WorkinOnMe's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
This maybe totally wrong direction but don't rule out your appendix. Had two separate friends have to have them out this year. One just short of rupture, went straight into surgery. Wish you well and hope this gets resolved quickly. Let us know your okay. -
Hi Tina That is a lot to deal with, on all fronts. You go right ahead and voice any thoughts, concerns or fears as for rants…your not even close so if you want to go right ahead. That's what this thread is for. Cause we are all wishing you well and will offer as much support as possible. I am hopeful recovery will pass by quickly but most important remove so much discomfort and pain. Have your beautiful little boy give you a hug on the home front and we will have your back on the cyber side. Please keep us informed and if feeling off from new meds. reach us and we will reach back. You are a brave woman and doing the all the right things. One step at a time…sending strenght and prayers. Will send wishes for sleep

Hi Anna, There are lots of peolpe out here hoping the best for you. Your in it to win it now cause there is no turning back. Please feel free to contact me when your down, crying or just need some one to listen to how your feeling. As every one has stated it does improve with time. This may not solve your gerds but at least help discomfort, I stopped all Vitamins and supplements by early evening…since doing this all my acid reflux has disappeared. I just make sure all are consumed in am and by mid-pm. Maybe there is some thing we can help you plan for your day or just have a more direct contact with you, want to help because I want you to feel a peace with yourself as you move forward and not regret. Anyway, out here if it helps. pmj

I can't wait... really!
PMJ replied to MarceMonster's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Can not imagine you not being approved, if you have a rep or advocate maybe you could ask them how long to get started? Otherwise, you may just have to be patient and let that ball start rolling. In the mean time read what you can on this sight and learn. Best to you -
5 days Post-Op...I feel much better than Day 1
PMJ replied to AshBanks's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You are an amazing woman and I can only see success for you! You are living proof that we can over come so much more than we think. Plus you have little children! Thanks for making me realize...I am slacking a little bit. Hope to hear more of your progress. Thanks again. -
You should be proud of your self, this is a major accomplishment (especially when you pay for it yourself). I am right there with you, It has been worth every penny I spent, some times I wish I had gone to Mexico but my Dr. has been pretty fantastic so it is what it is. Let us know how you are faring over your next 2 wks, plus remember there is a lot to learn from others on this sight that can be so helpful. Your almost there...

You will be okay, we have so much anticipation prior to surgery but all will go well. There is discomfort the first few days but that passes and you just start concentrating on your "new habits" such as walking, sipping, Vitamins and more sipping, able to pass "air" go to the bathroom just real every day stuff . Just follow your Doctor's and nutritionist guide lines and you will be fine. Good Luck

Hi, I'm just introducing myself, I'm Karl and I'm new here.
PMJ replied to Karlnjax's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Alright then…you are on track to changing your life. This is a great place to read so many different views and situations. Try to look over as much as possible. It really does prepare you for the worst but then makes everything so sweet when you feel pretty okay. Not great but pretty good considering what you just did. Every one will tell you "walk and sip water" words to follow. After that all your "new steps" to follow will fall into place. Just take it one day at a time. I wish you well and hope you are as happy as I am now. Before you know it you will be celebrating you loss. -
50 pounds lost- 2 mo postop w/pics
PMJ replied to sarahbeth3569's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Love to read and see all this, makes me realize this will be me one day (hopefully in 2 or 3 months). Your post really shines through. -
Starting BMI 34/201lbs, so had to self pay (my bathroom remodel can wait) still happy with decision. Exercise is really key to all of this, Protein and Water. In 2.5 wks have lost 16 lbs. got on scale today, better than any loss I have had before. As long as I stay on track and hopefully continue 2lbs (if lucky 3 a week) would be fantastic! Best to you all…either way it's all going in the right direction. HAPPY

Just tried one yesterday (I am 2 and 1/2 weeks out) didn't care for it. Nut. said greek yogurt 0 fat was fine I actually put a tablespoon of honey on it, she said as long as sugars were under 15% would be fine. This helped me get Protein (go for high ones) and feel like your eating something. Pre made Protein drinks make me ill, just can't stomach them. Plus try Soups but make sure you puree them up. Must admit this gets old but thankful to the heavens that I do not have to go weeks and weeks like some brave soles. Have no problem with liquids but thicker foods I really need to train myself to eat slower because it hurts. Muddling my way though this, hope you enjoy something.

Scared I'm not going to lose weight....2 weeks post op
PMJ replied to Goldy6575's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You actually made me laugh out loud, didn't see that picture coming. Have had the same concerns but realize there is no turning back. This will take weeks, monthes and the rest of my life to be a lot better off than I was. Thanks for sharing, I am heading out the door for my 1st follow up, if he tries to take a pic…I'm running. -
Well…your doing a fine darn job of going in the right direction. Beautifully written and warmly received. May your strength for love of family and self continue to grow. Would love to read as lovely an up date in the future. You shine girl!
