Hello Newbie here! So it has been a long journey for me almost five years I have been a bad yoyo'er I've lost 100 and gained it back at least 2xs. So I finally went thru the long process for the second time. 1st time I had no insurance .. Very difficult this time I have great insurance and have finally been approved! Finished all the requirements pre-op is scheduled for March 30th and I received my paper work from my Dr. Office today advising of pending scheduling for surgery. I'm excited, but looking through the paperwork I noticed the procedure code ( I work for the insurance co) and I knew it was not the surgery that I signed up for. I initially requested the duodenal switch. However VSG has been approved. I was feeling a little disappointed but after reading the comments in starting to feel a little more like God always knows best and this must be better for me. I have a lot of weight to lose. The last time I weighed in I was 442, highest weight being 520. I am ready to work hard I just hope that I have success with this option. So I'm waiting for the nurse to call in the morning with a date and in the meantime I really want to know if there are any of you who have had success starting from a higher weight. Sorry so long :-)

. My surgery is scheduled for the 23rd and I am inpatient lol excited a lot of emotions ... I have waited so long and everything is finally scheduled. ????????

No and I've been up literally since 6:00 am getting ready for work.. Didn't really start checking my phone until 8:00.. Kids are on spring break and I jut snapped at my daughter. I need to take a step back and just chill until she calls. They told me this am too.. And at this point I've called so much over the past week that I think if I call again I might piss someone off lol. I hope we both get a call soon gurl I have knots in my stomach I just want my date and I hope it's as early as possible so I can enjoy the summer

Hello, I just finished up all my requirements and it's been about 4 days since the dr office sent paperwork to insurance. I'm so anxious, does anyone know how long it really takes to schedule you for surgery after approval comes back?
