  1. I almost 2 months out of surgery, I still find it very hard to eat the amount they say I should. Is this normal and I am also at a stall, but this may be because I have been so busy that my exercise is not the same. And getting a full balanced meal rarely happens, I am just concentrating on eating the meat. If I get any of the other stuff in I consider that a bonus. My loss so far is 40lbs, from 2 week pre-op to now. Is all of this normal and or ok?
  2. Not sure if this is the place to post this question but here goes. I had my sleeve on Monday 7/13, I am home and I feel fine. But I am having some back pain, is this ok.

  8. Good morning ladies and gents. I'm not sure if this question has already been asked or addressed, but here goes. I live in NJ and have Horizon Blue Cross and Blue Shield, about how long does it take for them to approve surgery once they get all the stuff they need from the doctor? I have a wedding coming up in early June and i am in it so i want to plan accordingly. My last appointment is on April 28, so lets say my surgen has all letters of clearance from all doctors by May 1. How much longer on average will it be, i know each state and insurance co. is differant. If i could just some kind of idea that would be great, thank you in advance.

Very new to the pre-op group

Thank you Elode, this is my first online support group. I really don't know how it works.
  10. Hello, My Name is Frances, i'm not sure if this is the place to do this but just a little about myself. I am 37 I am very happily married to a wonderful man and i have 2 children. I have been thinking about surgery for the last year, and when i told my primary doctor i was ready he was so happy. I am more then ready for this and even more so now that i haqve gone to the informational meeting last night. I have an appointment with the nutritionist next monday and the doctor the day after. My insurance covers just about 100%, i will have to pay for the hospital stay so i am hoping it is not more then 1 night. At this point i am not really scared about the surgery, i am more scared/nervous about the after. More spacificaly the drinking Water part, all i drink is water but i tend to get busy and forget to drink. Until my body says hello i'm thursty, needless to say that for the last month (since i decided i was doing this) i have been trying really hard to make sure i am drinking the correct amount of water. On another note is there an ap for this site or even a facebook page that i can get on my phone, so that i can have the support at any time day or night? I tend to go on and on so if i do at time i am sorry about that. Thank you in advance for all of the beging help and support, i have been told many great things about this group.
