Im the exact opposite. My period was regular 60 pounds ago..even after having 3 kids, ALWAYS regular. Now that ive been losing, my periods are whacky and have a mind of their own. and another thing, why cant we lose the hair on our legs and other areas  instead of our hair on our heads....
-
I agree, i think its a harder setup and makes it more difficult to look at everything.

You look great! keep up the good work!

I have 3 kids, 6,2,& 8 months. This last time, after delivering my baby in August, The NICU warned us about having a few cases of babies that had died from SIDS while sitting in a car seat, asleep, in the house. They said to not have your babies sleep for over an hour straight in the car seat. It was the way their head flopped over...ect... We were more cautious after hearing that, since we hadnt heard it with our first two, so we were more aware of it after our 3rd. That being said..... I swear by this. Its made my life so much more easier. I take it everywhere with me, and its SO easy to use. I can wrap this around me and put baby in it, and hold my 2 year olds hand, when going into the store...Its a lifesaver. :huh2: Moby Wrap, Inc.

So, Since Feb. Ive been losing hair like crazy. Seriously, ive lost about half the amount of my hair. I have been babying my hair since this started...no flat ironing, no blow drying (unless REALLY needed) and no brushing, just combing. I realize none of this actually "helps" the problem...but..it makes me feel like im helping or at least, not making it worse. So, I usually get highlights added to my hair and havent gotten them since Jan. So, needless to say Im in need of TLC to my roots. :smile2: Should I dye it or do you think it will make the hair loss worse?

I wish I knew all these people you guys talk about that "dont care" about what you're eating.... I swear..every single time I go out to eat, or eat at someones house, and they see my small portions they all freak out..."Whaaaaa??? is that all you're going to eattttt???" blah blah friggity blah. I havent told anyone but my Parents and My husband, so it's tough...But I do make the excuse a lot of..."im just not that hungry" and that seems to shut them up. Good luck ! -
Mom of 3 boys, what do you do a Fast Food Rest. after Band?
~Sheila~ replied to McSteph100's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hey there...I have 3 kids too, 2 growing boys and a babygirl. We eat fast food maybe once a week, or every two weeks. Thru trial and error, ive had to learn the things i can and cant eat, most of things I can eat, are salads. chicken breast is very hard for me right now, It almost always gets stuck. Think of it as a great way to save money and lose at the same time  -
The only things I have a problem with are chicken Breast and Pork. Its just too dry for me, and just when I think ive chewed it enough to go down, It says, "Think again" I eat eggs all the time...I just chew and they go down great. Something to maybe think of... My Dr had said that if you're able to actually eat something for Breakfast, then you are not tight enough. He said as the day goes on, you tend to get more loose. Perhaps some of the trouble eggs get is that they're usually a morning food? I dont know...just something he said..

This might sound a little nerdy....But, Id go to the bookstore and get some interesting and fun books to read. Whatever you're into, Id get something that would take my mind off of all thats going on around you, for a while. Sometimes drowning yourself in a good book can really let you escape for a bit.. Good luck...take care..

Before my surgery, My dr perscribed me about 25 anti-nausea ..SUPPOSITORYS. mmmmm..fun. I didnt know there was a patch out there. Might have to try that. I havent had to use them yet, but i have them on hand, in the fridge.

Lifechange...Next time you feel that craving to eat, go make yourself a Protein shake. Have two if you have to. They make you feel full and you wont feel guilty afterwards or worry about harming your band. You need time to heal and when you eat, your stomach contracts during digestion and can result in a slipped band. You can do it!

Hey there....Well you're no longer a pb virgin. Dont beat yourself up over it, I once pb'd on a cap full of liquid Vitamins. It was early in the morning and I had the bottle in the fridge and It was too cold, i guess. After I pb'd that time, I didnt go on a liquid diet...but in the past, ive pb'd on some chicken and went on a liquid diet for the remainder of the day and felt better. My esophogus was actually sore that time.. Good luck to ya!

Cerrin, I dont know about you, but Im self pay and man, I sure want to get the most bang for my buck...the first fill for me, was weak...didnt really do much..the second was TIGHT, and this one i think is perfect... Im glad yours is working...Doing good, keep up the great work...I need to start working out, too

Hey Heather... I read your blog..oh my, sounds like you've been having a "GREAT" Time. Im wondering, have you been working out? I havent worked out really at all, but i notice now that my weight is at a standstill so im going to have to start sweating it out, i think. Good luck, gf!

Heather, I had my third fill this week, too. He did say that after this one, we might not need to fill it next month...We'll see... Thanks for your reply's...

It's not lack of Protein because I get about 90 gms a day. And my hair is falling out like you wouldnt believe. I had thick hair to begin with...a lot of it, and every day I comb my hair, theres a huge ball. I take my Vitamins, supplements..ect... I firmly believe its because of rapid weight loss. Your body goes into shock and I think its when your weight starts evening out, it slows down. Of course this is all that ive heard, and have yet to seen the "Slow down" aspect of it all. Im thinking that its nice headbands are back in style, because wearing one is a good way of masking the scalp.

Ok, so according to the diagram...there's your esophagus, your pouch, then the band, then the stomach, right? So, if you're supposed to eat foods that will stay in your pouch a longer time and make you feel full, (proteins & what have you) How come as Im eating, I can feel my food passing through my band? isnt it supposed to stay in there longer so i can be full, longer? I just got a fill and im pretty tight..so i dont think its because i need a fill. But shouldnt it be in there longer before you can feel it passing through?
