I am a 50 year old female and have battled my weight my whole life.  My primary care doc had brought up WLS several times and I keep thinking I will be able to lose the weight myself only it never works out that way.  My husband and I are at the point in our lives where we want to start traveling and I want to be able to do all the things along the way and truly live the experiences. 
 
I have just begun my journey.  Have been approved by insurance but will need to do the 6 month managed weight program.  Wish I didn't have to do that but I have waited this long so what is another 6 months.  I have my first consultation this week.  I couldn't be more ready to start this journey.  I want to start living again instead of being self conscious or worried about "can I do this or can I do that".
 
I have been on many websites during my research and have read extensively on this website and it has been very helpful.
