Stargirl, I am so sorry and as I read your post I felt your pain. My band helped me to loose 70 lbs then after my ability to eat way to much I have gained 23 lbs back. Although, my band has aided in bringing me back to life. Not only am I smaller, I can run and chase my boys, fit in carnival seats without fear of embarrasment, physically enjoy my husband & walk the mall without foot pain. But I am not there yet. Loosing my band would just crush me. I can only imagine what you are going to have to go through mentally. It makes me very emotional thinking about what you will feel since it sounds as though that might be my problem too. You are not alone girlfiend. Please continue to keep us posted especally since we are very common.

I am totally afraid to call my Dr. for a follow up because I feel like not only have I let myself down but also my Dr. and his staff. Gaining after all we went through is so sadening.

Oh My Star Girl. I am in the same boat. Soooo frustrating. Went from 257-189 in a year and then all the sudden it has crept up to 207. UUUUUGGGGGG What do you do? My Dr. did mention the asophgist thin to me too. I am really intrested to hear what you find out after your next Floro and appointment. Please keep me posted. I fell your pain believe me!!!!!!

Hi there, Just wanted to share my experience. I had a fill and was extremely restricted. The next day I couldn't even get Water down. Called my Dr. and he said just give it time. So I did. I figured he was right, it will calm down. Well...... went camping and it still wouldn't let me keep anything down. I would no sooner get it down and it would come back up. 4 days later, I was so weak, I was seeing things. Decided I better get some IV fluids. Went to the Emergency room and they wanted to admit me. I asked them to call my Dr. and he said to take in as much fluids as they will give me and get to his office ASAP. I took in 3 bags of Fluid in no time. Felt ok but not even 60 % better. Got to the Dr. and he deflated me. I felt instantly better as soon as I was able o get water down. M color perked up with the water and my weakness went away after I drank a LRG. protien shake. The only things we came up with was between a fill and the flu I was closed up. My Dr. says everytime you throw up your stomach lining swells. Well after throwing up about 25 times I would assume I was swelled closed. Now I have a new problem. I am doing the same thing today. I am under a lot of stress like some of the worst stress I have ever had and I am wondering if stress can also make your stomach swell and close. What do you think?? :confused2:

Oh my gosh Sparkette...... I kinda know what you are talking about..... But I would like to know what the out come is for you. A couple of weeks ago I traveld the 4 hours to see my Dr. and get a fill. I was having little problems with my fills and didn't anticipate any problems in the futre. But when I went to get my fill he could't find the opening of my port. He poked and dug and it was painful but I didn't care because it was time for more restrictions. He could't get it and scheduled for me to get a floroscapy so he could see where my opening was and sent me home. The next day I went from little restriction to no restriction. I worried and thought maybe he had poked a hole in my tubing while digging for the port but I didn't want to worry about something I wasn't totally sure about. So weeks later I went to my appointment for the floroscapy and he found the port opening with no problem and filled my with 2.5cc's. That was a Lrg. amount to me considering he had done mine no more then 1cc at a time before this. I was pleased... I had restriction while drinking my Water and was ready to start loosing again. Well once I made the 4 hour drive home I realised I was starving and needed to eat something........... So I did........... No restriction. I am terrified. I called the Dr's secretary. Explained everything and she assured me he would call me as soon as he was done with his patients that day and to wait by the phone. I am still waiting 4 days later. What happend with you?
