When Is Your First Fill After Surgery? I am able to eat more food now!!

Hi Summer, I sympathize. I was banded on Nov.15 and scheduled for 3 fills, Dec. 17 is my first with 2 more in January. I am almost 3 weeks post op and feel back to normal in terms of appetite. I am eating most regular foods and find myself wanting to snack constantly. I do feel that I feel fuller faster than before and I don't push that feeling. But I can't wait to get my fill because like you I feel I'm gaining the weight I lost just after the surgery. Good luck!!! -
Post-op...Sleeping on my side....when?

I was banded on November 15 and was able to sleep on side 2 weeks post op. I don't sleep on tummy and don't think I could now; port site is too sensitive. Good luck! -
Did your Doc require a pre-op diet?

My doc prescribes pre-op diet to all, for how long depends on BMI. My BMI was over 40 so I was prescribed a 2-week very lean diet to decrease liver fat which makes the surgery more comfortable as was explained to me. Ashamed to say but I didn't follow it instead eating sparingly the day before surgery only. I was banded on November 15. Back to most regular soft foods and having 1st fill on Dec. 17.
