Hi guys! What does your doctor think about having lemons/lime on your salads, marinade, juice etc 4 months Post-Op? Also, what reactions did you get from consuming it? Thanks

Its better you try different food yourself post sleeve, everyone develops their own NEW taste buds post surgery....
-
When you buy your vitamins, just buy it from GNC or some other reputable sources.... Skip walmart and the like
-
Congratulations! Don't buy anything, just follow your doctor's instructions and recommendations.

I would disagree. Even if you aren't hungry it is critical to get enough protein for healing and weight loss. It is almost impossible to get enough protein when you are on Clear liquids without supplements. Especially when you are healing and swollen. You just don't have the space initially to just drink broths in sufficient quantity to get enough protein. Its alright to disagree, everyone follow their doctors advice. Any protein liquids made me hurl. If Incontinued, I could have developed complications. I had to improvise to survive! And I lost 28 kilo since March 11, so I must be doing something right....

@@Kindle Niiiiiice, for the Protein powder though, its an acquired taste. I just hurl after drinking it. Maybe I should try your smoothie recipes can you PM some and the powder brand?
-
@@Kindle I improvise Meal 1 Protein cereal/almond milk or low fat milk (10g protein) Meal 2 congee probably more than 15g protein Meal 3 Atkins bar or designer whey (tastes like a Cereal bar) - 10-12 grams each. I can fit in 2 (20g+) Meal 4 soup Beans with some ground or shredded protein. Snacks mixed nuts (mostly almonds, cashews, pecans, walnuts) Just mix it up, sometime u eat more sometime less. Just live ur life, stop drinking those powders YUCK! The other day I made some barbacoa beef, and will probably eat it for a week, lol

Post op, hurling is much harder and sometimes painful as there is no help from your stomach muscles anymore!!! Go easy OKAY, all you need to prepare is apple juice and a tequila shot glass (30ml). And your good!
-
Oh you will, looooooool.
-
@ I SWEAR I can still taste the nasty stuff in my mouth 3.5 month after trying it post op.... Everytime I remember the taste I feel like throwing up, its like raw eggs mixed with acetone.... Oh my!
-
You don't need protein powders, just make some chicken or fish congee and lentil soups post op.... Your hunger will be for thirst and not food..... DO NOT OVERTHINK POST OP... Apple juice is your favorite buddy for like 3 weeks.... You will feel no hunger, so do not buy stuff you will not need. I am 3.5 months post op, so trust me! @@laceygorrell

@@laceygorrell Don't drink any of that garbage dear NOT BEFORE OR AFTER YOUR SURGERY. You will always feel like throwing up. It will make you barf all the time!!! Instead eat lentil soup, bean soups (without the chilli)
-
Just be careful what you eat.... Stay away from greasy food and slider foods. You will be fine as long as you eat healthy and exercise a little. Also, i use a timer on my phone which beeps or vibrates every 7 minutes to remind me to drink Water, try this if you are not able to keep up the water intake which helps with weight loss (and the easy passage of your stool ). You don't want your pipe clogged, do you? Oh, and you need a minimum of 2 litres of water a day, so get started
