  1. I just had my 4th fill today. Still don't kknow if it's my sweet spot. Liquids, 2 days. My biggest sugggestion would be don't let the Dr. rush you. Ask questions. Everyone says yu'll feel the pressure in your chest. Well, when your chugging that bottle of COLD water, you can get a thigtening in there and get confused. Take your time. Make him fill you good till you truly feel the water is going to come right up out of your nose. Then you will feel what it truly feels like so youll know for sure. They won't let you leave like that, but you'll discover the feeling of REAL restriction so you have something to base all of this on.
  2. I ate a lot of tuna and chicken salad. Make sure there are no chunks. FF mayo and mustard make it go down real easy.

    Banded in Mexico?

I was banded in Mexico by Dr Jose Rodriguez. I had no problems, would do it again in a heartbeat. All you had to d o was pay for your flight. They took care of everything else for you. Pick up at airport, hotel, there was a great q&a session before hand in the hotel. Trans to and from Mexico and then hotel again and ride to airport. No problems. You need to look up fillcentersusa. They are all over. So far my experience with them has been good.
  4. Ok, I was banded on 10/31 I am able to eat most anything. I have 5cc's in a 9cc band. I have decent restriction but am not at my sweet spot. Has anyone been eating south beach diet foods? The pizzas are pretty good. They have 30 grams of protein and 300 or so calories. I knowit's bread, but it's low carb. Has anyone else gone this route?

    Various types of protein powders

I have bought a brand on the web called All the whey. It's pretty good. It mixes well, and is pretty thick. It's made of the pure whey isolate protein which is supposed to be the best. Less than 1 gm of carbs and fat and sugar free. Look into it. I'm happy with it.
  6. When I had my surgery they put SOOOOO much stress on following those guidelines for the first month. I was paranoid because all they talked about was ripping out your inside stitches. There are supposedly only 2 little stitches holding your band in place. They have got to heal. Putting all thet weight and pressure could easily tear them and you won't even know for a very long time until the band starts traveling down your stomach and you have to have major surgery to correct it and may llose part of your stomach. Follow the rules! It' s only a few weeks out of your life. Did you really expect this all to be simple?

Those of you who are self-payers...

The flight is seperate, but you fly into San Antonio, get in touch with Barbara Lozier her no is 2107891434. They pick you up at the airport. They put you in a nice hotel. They give you a great q& a session the night before. They take you to the hospital in Mexico, you spend the night, they drive you back to the hotel you spend the night then you are taken to the airport the next day. All of that is covered in the price. Barbara is wonderful. She will answer all your questions and is a lot of help.

I went to Mexico to Dr Jose Rodriguez. It was 7250.00. I had no problems or complaints. Look into it. It was totally worth it to me.
  10. My BMI was 40. I had to pick and chose who I told. I knew I'd get a lot of crap from some people. but I did it! I feel much better about myself and don't regret it at all. good luck!
