You are doing great! And not giving in to the temptations of unhealthy eating is a great accomplishment! I don't think that being hungry will make you become undisciplined all of a sudden. You will eat more of the good foods that you have been eating. I am sure with the success that you have had that you already know what healthy Snacks to eat when you do feel hungry and you know the strategies for discerning whether or not it is "true" hunger. Don't worry, you will keep it together. You come too far to let your hard work go to waste.

No matter what your weight is in 12 1/2 weeks, you will be down quite a few inches. Think of the fun you will have SHOPPING for clothes for that cruise!

I use a Fitbit Charge and it works well with MyFitnessPal.

Your surgeon seems a little insensitive to your problem. Maybe ask your family doctor for some anti nausea medication.

When looking at nutrition labels I first look for high protein, and then low carb and low sodium.

In my opinion you are not drinking enough water and your daily caloric intake is way too high for just 4 to 5 weeks out from surgery. You said you are drinking 3 bottles of water. If they are 16 ounce bottles, you are one short of the minimum requirement. One thousand calories a day is about 400 calories higher than recommended for someone at your stage. You might want to cut down on your potatoes and chips and use less salt. -
It boggles my mind how many people, who are beginning the process of weight loss surgery, come to these forums and ask strangers for permission to fail. With questions like, "Oh, I am two day into my pre-op diet, is it ok if I have a beer with my bestie because she's leaving town tomorrow and I won't see her for 6 months?" or, "I've been on Clear liquids for two weeks and my husband brought home pizza. Is it ok if I just take one bite?" This is hard work. It takes motivation and dedication every day. If you can't refuse "a drink" or "a bite" now, how weak are you going to be down the road? Tighten those boot straps and get ready to battle! It's on! You are getting or have had the surgery and now it's time to put in the work. Don't ask us to give you permission to fail. Think about that question you have, you know the correct answer. Do the right thing.

When will the main incision STOP hurting!?
TammyDTM replied to davidncara@sbcglobal.net's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
None of my incisions hurt after surgery and I was surprised when I found out which one my stomach was taken out of. That one healed the fastest and you can hardly see the scar. -
I have gone from size 28 pants to size 20 pants very quickly. I had to buy new pants about 2 weeks after surgery. Undies about a month out and tops and bras about 2 months out.

My requirements are 10 minutes before and 40 minutes after.

@@stephh - 244.4 ------ I was stalled for 3 weeks before this challenge. I stuck with the plan and things started moving along again!

Just a suggestion - You can search youtube for aerobic exercises. BeFit has a lot of good ones. You can exercise in the privacy of your own home for FREE! You can also purchase various strength training videos and stretch bands and kettle bells. There is no reason for excuse not to get in exercise every day no matter how many hours a day you work. Ten minutes of intense exercise will do. If you find that you can work that in every day, you will find that you will soon be able to work in 20 minutes and then 30 minutes. When you feel discouraged, just picture yourself in the body that you want. Get up, and move. I am a little over 12 weeks post-op and I have lost a lot of weight and a lot of inches. However, the inches around my mid-section are very slow to come off. From what I have read here on the forums, it is common. I have gone from size 28 pants to size 20 pants, but on top I have only gone down one size. I could probably wear a smaller size, but I don't like to highlight my bulges! Anyway, don't worry so much about things right now. You are still early in your journey. Be patient with the process. Your body is adjusting and will "get right" soon. Good luck to ya!

Week 3 post op Stall! The scale is yo-yoing.
TammyDTM replied to jennafah's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
@@jennafah - You said, "I'm 3 weeks post op. I have only lost 37 lbs." What an accomplishment! Good job! You are doing everything right! Your body is just resetting. Just be sure to be consistent with your Protein and Water intake and you'll be fine. -
Girl, when did you have surgery? What food stage are you at right now? It's not time for Snacks yet is it?

@@imjenn - Congrats! Hope you're doing well!

@@mclorrie - I remember the surgical office taking about 2 weeks and the insurance company sent my approval letter to me in less than 2 weeks. So it shouldn't be too long for you now. After the approvals were all finished I went in to the office again for another weigh-in, and pre-op class and chose a surgery date. I can't really give you a "perfect" timeframe for all of that because I had some other medical issues that slowed me down a little during the later process. But, once you get going it goes really fast! Good luck to you! If you have any more questions for me, I'm here! You can private message me if you like.

I came home from the hospital a whopping 17 pounds heavier than when I went in! So count yourself lucky that you are only 3 pounds heavier! The pounds will start to drop really soon! Good luck to you!

I had surgery Feb 25. I was losing really well until April. I was stalled for over 3 weeks and then WAM! I am back losing again. I just stuck with the plan and my body got the message that I was not starving and it is again releasing the fat! Believe me, you all are not finished yet. The journey is not over. Keep drinking your Water, get in your Protein and keep exercising. Your body will do what it needs to do and you will soon be losing again. Stick with the plan!

I'm only 11 weeks out, but I feel that my GERD has improved. I am still on Omeraprazole, however.
