Don't ask "can I go?" girl, get dolled up and be ready to walk out the door with him! You hang out as long as he hangs out!
-
@@Sophie74656 I'm sorry, but I see some red flags in your post. You are excusing his behavior towards you. You may want to check out these groups and get in on the "fun." This is the post I was referring to.

When did you introduce carbs?
TammyDTM replied to WPBFoodie's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have been eating fruit since 6 weeks out. There are carbs in fruit. I started with mashed peaches, pears and bananas in the soft food pureed/soft food stage because my nutritionist recommended it because I was suffering from severe fatigue and weakness. She thought adding the fruit would help and it did. -
Sometimes people make sideways remarks to make other people jealous or to brag on their status.

@@Elode Look at you! Strut yo stuff girl!!!
-
@@Addawn You said, "I can sit around and pick at stuff all day." When I find myself sitting around doing nothing and starting to think about nibbling, I quick find something to do or somewhere to go. Maybe you could pick up an indoor hobby to keep your hands and mind busy.

Any Doctor of Yours Hate Your Choice?
TammyDTM replied to ItsTheNewMe's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was at my PCP's office for my annual physical in March 2014 and he asked, "Would you be interested in weight loss surgery?" He got me started in the process right away. My doctor has always genuinely cared about me and I absolutely love him for it! -

Hello Fall! Does anyone have any goals, NSV's especially for fall?
TammyDTM replied to Elode's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I absolutely love the color purple and all shades of it. I have shied away from wearing it because I would look at myself in the mirror and see Barney. Well, not any more! I bought a purple winter coat and I look good in it! Not like Barney at all! I am looking forward to wearing my purple coat! -
My surgeon repaired my hiatal hernia during my sleeve surgery. I didn't know I had it until after it was all done.

Intake--too much or too little?
TammyDTM replied to KChelper's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I agree with BLERDgirl, you need to make sure you are getting at least 60 grams of Protein, 64 ounces of Water and 30 minutes of exercise EVERY day. No excuses. -
That certainly gives you something to think about. That last paragraph was a little worrisome.

During my 6 month check-up I mentioned to my nutritionist that my hair was starting to thin and she recommended I take a fish oil supplement daily.

Calcium- what does it mean for us?
TammyDTM replied to Tootsietoes's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My doctor told me that I need to take calcium citrate for the rest of my life. -
Weight GAIN before liquid diet
TammyDTM replied to bhopeful's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
@@bhopeful -- I think that psychologically you are afraid of what you might miss after the surgery and that is why you are eating things that you normally would not eat. Change your mindset and start thinking about how much better you are going to feel and look after the surgery. You will have an abundance of energy if you eat and drink according to the plan. A two week liquid diet will be challenging, but if you start now with cutting out the junk and thinking positively about what is to come, you will be successful. -
215.4 Thanks!

Same clothes or not, I can see a big difference. You look good girl. Stay happy and proud!
-
Fatigue after surgery is normal, however, this is something that should be discussed with your health care provider. In the meantime, make yourself stay up and awake long enough to get in your required amounts of Water and Protein. Set alarms if you need to.
-
Congratulations! You can really see the difference! It gets so much better! Shopping will be so much fun!!!

1 week post op and my stomach is crampy
TammyDTM replied to amandaowen's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
You should not go off of your plan. . . Yes. You could have damaged your pouch. -
"Only" - Please, you did lose. You lost 22 pounds after surgery which probably included extra Water pounds from the saline they gave you at the hospital. What you are doing wrong is comparing yourself to others and expecting more from your body than it is capable of doing at this point in the process. Calm yourself and be patient. You will lose at your own pace whatever that may be. Your body will go through a "reset" also where you may be at the same weight for days or even weeks on end. We all go through that. It's called a stall. Browse the forums and read up on that subject before it happens to you so that you will understand it. You've only just begun. Congratulations on your weight loss and continued success!
