Looking good girl! I know you feel so good too! -
@@anna9/15 Don't you dare consider "limiting" your posts! We are all here for you. You post as often as you like. This is a place to come for advice, comfort or whatever you may be needing. You sound like you are going through a trying period in your life right now. I encourage you to find comfort in the Lord. Look on Youtube for Charles Stanley videos and find a subject that fits your particular circumstance and I pray that you will begin to feel better and find the answers you are looking for. God bless you.

When is weight loss rapid?
TammyDTM replied to Thebin's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Can you imagine coming home from sleeve surgery and weighing 17 pounds MORE than you did on the day of surgery? Well, that happened to me. I have had several stalls in the 8 months since my surgery, but I know that eating right, drinking the recommended amount of Water and daily exercise will keep me healthy and will see me to my goal. You hang in there and don't let the numbers defeat you. -

Congratulations @Wana77. You have lost 21 pounds!!! -
Congratulations! Very inspirational and encouraging to those of us still in the struggle!

Good for you!!! Congratulations!

Watch some sleeve journeys on youtube. Don't have "out of this world" expectations. Don't compare yourself to others. Be prepared to do WORK. Protein and Water are most important. Do Not "Test" Your Sleeve!!! Follow your physician's orders!!!

@@amber5281 October 8 was just 2 weeks ago and you are already getting in 800 calories. I am 8 months out and I take in 800 to 1,000 calories daily. At your stage I was lucky to get in 300 calories a day. You might want to scale down your calories and focus on Protein and Water.

Congratulations!!! Awesome to get there, I'm sure. I hope to join you soon!

Have you tried searching youtube? There are several people there who have posted their weight loss journeys. Before my surgery I watched several people from the beginning to present time of their journeys. I was able to see a lot of different aspects of what happens after surgery. It was a big help because I knew beforehand that I shouldn't expect things to be perfect. It was also fun to watch people shrink! I always watched the videos from oldest to newest.

You said, "i'm not into weighing so i just eyeball everything." Have you not been given guidelines for eating from a bariatric nutritionist? If so, why are you "testing" your sleeve so early in your recovery period. Has no one given you any guidance on eating plans at all? This early in your stage you are not supposed to be eating until you feel full or stuffed.

Wondering if I'm doing something wrong
TammyDTM replied to sonnysun's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Get some Smooth Move tea or some Senna Leaf tea. You can find it at most grocers. Drink a cup before bed and that should help move things along. Also, it might help to take a stool softener on a daily basis. -

:How do you get your high protein?
TammyDTM replied to Tracytma's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I eat a lot of fish, mostly cod, and chicken breasts. I use a variety of fresh herbs and seasonings to change things up so that it doesn't get boring. I also eat eggs, Beans, cheese and yogurt. -
3 weeks out and only lost 7 pounds!
TammyDTM replied to julieaj's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
@@julieaj Don't be depressed! You just had major surgery that is going to change your life for the better. Honey, it takes time. Your body has been stressed from surgery and your insides are in the healing process. You were given IV fluids during surgery and maybe gained a few pounds from that. The weight will come off. Look at my ticker. I was stalled for almost the whole month of April. I just kept doing what I was supposed to do and my body finally caught up to itself and started losing again. Look forward to your future and don't sweat the small stuff! -

African American vsgers!
TammyDTM replied to theshrinkingdutchess's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
@@Fame I had a hernia repair also. I found that sitting straight up while eating and drinking helped. I also would take short walks after a meal to help it "settle" better. It will all get better with time. Keep a positive attitude and keep the big picture in focus! You'll be alright! -

@@Fame Congratulations! How are you feeling? -
Nah, I would skip it. It's not important that you participate. I would feel as if I had an unfair advantage over the others.

Ummhmm, what Jeffery said.
