A life of turmoil, the loss of my mother at an early age, physical and emotional abuse, all contributed toward my adult obesity. Through counseling, I was able to go through the motions of the steps necessary to acquire insurance, gain approval, have WLS (Gastric Bypass) and finally lose the weight. Beginning weight: 425. Currently weight: 142
