Not sure if yesterday was a win or a fail. I made it through my first big event at work since surgery and didn't eat a donut (we get them for the staff/volunteers), and I didn't treat myself to a huge dinner of nachos or mac and cheese afterwards... BUT, I got to the end of the day, and even after having my protein yogurt snack in the evening, I was still hungry, so I ended up having a serving of roasted chickpeas and went over my allotted calories by more than 100. I did run around a lot throughout the day, but I don't know that it justified the extra calories. :/

Definitely a win. You avoided trigger foods and you were hungry and made a reasonable choice to satisfy hunger. If you wear a Fitbit or other tracker, I think you'll be astonished at the number of steps you got in yesterday. And going over by 100 calories in a single day is in no way going to derail you. Focus on the great choices you made!

Well, you certainly picked the perfect treat to have. I do not count calories, just protein. I monitor calories and carbs but as my nut tells me, do not pay attention to calories at all in weight loss mode.
Give yourself a break you did exactly what you should have. I usually reach for nuts, jerkey or cheese when that happens. I wish I could eat chick peas because they are good for you!
