I was good all day until now......may have to go to bed early. LOL Is your pre op completely liquid? mine isn't I get one meal a day. Hang in there! I keep thinking if I can only get through this week hopefully it will get better.

Hanging in there...I do feel like I'm so exhausted by about 3:00. And I can't seem to find a Protein bar that doesn't taste like cardboard/dirtWhat brands are you guys using for the shakes and/or bars? I like the premier shakes and the Quest shakes and bars

I added a shot of espresso into my chocolate shake today. it was quite delicious! LOL....I think gas and bloating BMs and such are all fair game on this site....LOL I was thinking that myself about doing decaf starting next week. I usually hate decaf but it is the only option I guess I will have to take it or leave it. Been pretty good most of the day until I got to dinner time....got too hungry. and now that I had some solid food, my stomach is growling only 2 hrs later.....I think I need to go to bed early tonight!

@carebear873214.....yeah....there isn't any way around that! I can trick my sweet tooth IDK how to trick a greasy food craving! How are you doing today with your pre op diet? I am doing good so far.....worried about tonight! I always want to snack in the evening! I've been cleaning out the fridge and freezer today. pantry is tomorrow.......hard to throw away food but need out of the house.@@mlmanney I was doing great till the hospital called to tell me that I have a $500 copay which is not the case. After talking to my insurance company and them trying to reach the hospital which was closed. So I'm a hair on edge and had a scoop of ice cream and spit it out lol could have been worse don't worry! it'll all get worked out before your surgery! NO MORE ICE CREAM! LOL

@DeLiGhTfUlLy DeTeRmInEd wow that is a longer pre op diet than mine! Mine is only 14 days! did it get easier for you as the days went by? several people have told me that by day 4 it gets easier.

@@Jenskittle how are you doing with it today? I started today since I was on a road trip yesterday. I made it home and today is going well so far. good idea to look at photos to keep the motivation! I am trying to just take it day by day and hope that it gets easier. I have heard that the first 3 days are really hard then it eases up.....or you get used to it! we will see I guess

@@Jefferyc79 Absoulutly we all can support each other in this journey! I have found this process to be very emotional and harder than I thought it was when I first started. Now that I am in the pre op diet stage and the surgery will be here before I know it.....IT JUST GOT REAL! My story is that I have 2 of my siblings who have had strokes and family history of heart disease. Besides all of my own co morbities......I can't want to be next! I need to take control of my life. I know I was going to do the surgery since my info session. I have seen the devastation of my family members taking care of the two who had the strokes and how it has totally changed their lives. I will not let this happen to my husband and children if I can help it! So this is my reasons.....We all have one or a thousand......we all came to this conclusion that surgery is what we need to help us live longer and healthier, this is just my story.

Good tip! I got a some crystal light packets and propel water so I can have something sweet! I'm a day late but oh well.....I was road tripping yesterday to get home from the holiday weekend. @@nnv what day is your surgery? 21st?

That is exactly what I anticipate. Maybe I had better think about laying low!

Mine is 2 shakes and a 350 calorie meal. Gonna be a long 2 weeks! Hopefully it will get easier after the first week

I admit I am eating whatever I want this weekend! I am ready! I don't think the first week will be easy but the week after that I am so busy with appointments. I think I will be too exhausted to care!

When I had my sleep study, the technician said the same thing to me. Then she turned around and recommended "diet and exercise." SMH... It really takes alot of nerve to feel you know what is best for someone else! Wow.....I would have wanted to walk out and go elsewhere. The other thing that gets me riled up is when people assume we haven't researched or thought long and hard about the decision to have bariatric surgery. I have on the other hand been pleasantly surprised this week that I told someone I had previously said I wouldn't tell because I thought she would be judgmental and she couldn't have been nicer about it!

When I went for my sleep study the chicken doing the test said those type of comments to me. I don't think they intend it to be as offensive as it is. They are just clueless that it is. I really think they think they are being nice. It really is none of anyone's business what our reasons are they don't have to live in my skin or know my health/family history.
