  1. Hi guys thanks for all the enouraging words and congrats. I have actually had 3 fills since Jan 2007. the first was not enough it was 2.0 and then it went to 2.5 and i think that was too much! I then went back down to 2.0 but i still can eat. I feel the tightness in my chest when I eat to fast so I know there is restriction, but I still actually feel hungry. My stomach actually growls after I eat. What can i do?

  2. Hi, i've been banded since december 2005. I successfull lost 20lbs. I found out i was 6 weeks pregnant March 2006. So got completely unfilled immediately. Thankfully I only gained 18lbs with my preganancy and had a healthy 9lb 1 oz baby boy Oct 2006. I got refilled Jan 2007 and to date have not lost anything. I lose a 1lb gain a 1lb. I can still eat. There is minimal restriction. I'm sooooo discouraged and really need some encouragement and support from my fellow bandsters on what to do. Can you please send me some of you sample daily menus so I can try them please. I'm trying to hang in there but I'm so discouraged.

  3. I'm 2 months pregnant and just got unfilled. I'm still losing a little weight so I guess that's good. I just pray I dont gain a whole lot while carrying this baby. This is me and my husband's first child and we are "Very" excited! Keep us in your prayers.

Oh yeah, I was banded Dec 16, 2005, when they say you become more fertile after you lose weight, believe it. I'm a true testimony.:clap2:

  4. they should fall off on their own in about 2weeks, if they have not gently remove them, by that time they should be lifting a lot so it wont be hard. As long as they are bleeding or puss coming out of them, it would be okay to remove them yourself. I was just like you. I called my doctors office twice because i was so anxious. Also, when you take them off there will be alot of sticky tape around the incisions. soap and Water wont get it off. i used a cotton ball dipped in alittle of alcohol and went around my incisions carefully. it came right off.

  5. I'm glad i could be of help. Its good your hubby is taking off 2 days, you will need it. my husband took off for 3 days. Dr b,. is great. make sure you have some gas-x chewables on hand. Take them as soon as you step foot in the door from the surgery. I wish someone had told me that. Girl if you dont remember anything else. PLEEEEEase do that. the gas pains make you feel like horrible. your right the myocel is horrible. I'm on day 5 and i want some real food. i'm not really hungry i just am craving it. Good luck with your surgery.

  6. Because you wont be able to get out for a few days you may wanna pick up some chicken broth, sugar free Jello and sugar free applesauce and applejucie. and get some type of Protein Shake. my doctor put me on one so i had one already. Make sure you also by some chewable gas-x. whatever you do get that if nothing else. These are the basics. Make sure you have someone stay with you all tomorrow to help you up and down. I had my husband and mom thank God. I couldnt even pull my underwear down atfirst because my stomach was tooo sore. That's about all i can think of. Good luck and God bless.

  7. I know exactly what you mean. I'm sorry to say that the pain you are experiencing is trapped gas. I was banded dec 16 and i am just now getting over it. I thought i was gonna die and was regretting it too. The only thing i did is walked and prayed. I'm still getting some back pains. even as i sit here at my computer now typing to you i feel the middle of my back hurting. again, I hate to hear that somelse is going through what i went through. I know it hurts. just walk as much as you can. and then try exercising your top half of your body. kinda like circles or something and see if that would loosen it up. My mom and husband patted on my back for me and that helped too. sorry i couldnt help more.

  8. So far so good. I just got banded friday 12/16 and i'm doing great. my husband has been a BIG help. Make sure that you have someone with you the first 2 days. Its very important. The gas is bearable but i had gas in my back and if you can imagine, that was very uncomfortable. I feel alot better today though. you'll be fine. Oh yeah. I did cheat a little on my pre-opt diet. But I didnt do any fried or greasy foods and no sodas. Good luck!
