I keep thinking 3 more sleeps but the closer we get the harder it is to sleep and the lack of caffeine isn't helping!!!

@@yamshams hangry is a word I use often!!!!! I am DAY 12 of my liquid diet and I am about tired...I'm exhausted. I'm Hangry. I'm a hot mess lol

I think I've reorganized and refreshed my closet and bedroom 5 times this month. Even got into the kids room lol it's like nesting I swear! I packed my hospital bag Saturday night and forgot of all things...underwear! I'm such a ball of nerves.

My surgeon was part of the trials that helped develop the lap band procedure so he is very conservative with pre/post op procedures for both operations. Strict full liquid 2 weeks before surgery, clear liquid day before, clear liquid until he clears you for full liquid.

@@wannaBthinsoon I'm Thursday April 23 and couldn't be soon enough! The process itself wasn't the worst but all day my stomach was terrible I'm day 8 of my liquid diet and a bit cranky. My surgery is tentatively 11am. Our hospital does the time schedule so they will call to confirm the day before.

Had my preop labs, ekg and upper GI today [worst test ever lol]. Picked up my post op scripts, paid the surgeon and hospital, and submitted my leave paperwork. My regular scheduled days off are fri/sat so I'll pack my hospital bag then. I'm working up until Wednesday bc otherwise I'd go nuts at home but I'm so ready!!!!!!!!!!

This may sound childish or naïve but I have a question. Can you tell you've been sleeved? As in, does your abdomen feel any different, from the inside? Grrr I don't feel like I'm verbalizing this well enough. Does anyone get my question?

Let's talk about it!!! I swear since I started my preop diet I smell EVERYTHING! I also have not been terribly hungry, it's been mostly head hunger, and I've been able to talk myself down so far. Then again I'm only on day 3.

I've been drinking atkins shakes, high protein slim fast, and the Premier Protein. Each day they all taste a little better. definitely try some different ones. The surgeon recommended EASadvantage to me and I tried the strawberry. I couldn't stomach it. Some just really don't taste that good. I also like the whey protein powder. Hope this helps and good luck with surgery! Mine is the 20th. Ready for it to be here! :-) Premier protein is my favorite and will probably be my post surgery 'full liquid' shake.

My doctor is SOOOOO specific. I could either do the bariatric advantage meal replacement (which to me were terribleeeeee) or glucerna shakes bc of the slowly digestible carbs. So glucerna it is lol
