Hello all. As some of you saw my previous post my husband recently put in a lap band for the first time after seeing my great results. Well I went to the Dr. Today because I thought I needed a fill but low and behold after the esophogram it appears I have a dilation not slip. So he emptied about 1.5cc out and I'm going to do liquids for a few days. My question to you all is..,will this work? Will I go back to normal again? I'm scared about needed another surgery but also scared to be without my band. Anyone been in my shoes? Thanks

Just to follow up...the dilation corrected itself after the unfill :-)

Hi everyone I was banded 2 yrs ago and lost a little over 100lbs. Hubby is getting banded tomorrow and I'm so nervoussss. Please send positive thoughts our way. I know the surgery is minor but any surgery gets me nervous.

Does anyone else get insanely tight right before and during your period? I can hardly eat during this time of the month.

Just weighed myself and I am 199 with a starting weight of 287. My lap band surgery was completed on January 15, 2014. I feel (and look-/LOL) amazing! I have energy and am accomplishing so many great things in my life. The lap band gave me a new lease on life. I'm loving ONE-derland. By the way I haven't even officially started exercising yet. Just moderate walking and so forth. I'm so proud. I'm 5'11 and 199 now so slowly getting out of that overweight stage lol

January 15, 2014 was my band date and over a year later I've lost a total of 90lbs with just watching what I eat (no excersize yet). I was 287 and I'm 197 now. My goal is 180 so I'm almost there (I'm 5'11"). Best decision I ever made. I feel and look amazing. If you are contemplating whether to get the band or not, GET IT! :-)
