I've gained now so I def need to be back in weight loss mode! I don't seem to be able to get in more than 1000 calories esp if I eat good calories. If I consume empty calories I can fit anything!! Going to start back in track and try and get in my high Protein and stay away from the bad carbs and high fats. Thank you so much for your advice!! Sent from my XT1254 using the BariatricPal App

I was wondering what everyone is eating over a year post op surgery. I had surgery 2/2015 and I'm just not sure if I should still be doing high Protein or more balanced diet or no carbs, no fat and how many calories I should be eating. What is every doing?? I'm under 900 calories a day still and I figure my husband should be around 1200
-
I have I just want to see what everyone else is eating

My husband is three years out vsg surgery and I am almost a year. How many calories do you think we should be eating in a day?
-
Just made an appt to see my nutritionist this month and I'm thinking I may try the pouch test cause the sugars and carbs are hitting hard! Thanks for the help!

Def by cleanse I meant detoxify and restart, not laxatives. Just want to rid my body of any sugars and the bad things I've been putting in. I know my material in and out. My husband had surgery almost three years ago so we're veterans. I did hear of the pouch test but was look for more of a drink I guess

I am 9 months post op sleeve and I feel like I'm starting to slip back into my old ways. I was looking for a cleanse of some sorts to restart my body that is safe post op sleeve. Anyone have any suggestions?

Idk it's a weird feeling. I'm proud of what I did but at the same time it's hard to talk about because it's so.personal. I'm not ashamed or at least I know I shouldn't be but I guess self conscious because I'm afraid people will judge

Pain Ranking: C-Section vs. Sleeve
jessjones5 replied to Garifab_VSG's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have had two c sections and I had VSG on 2/23. I was told vsg would be easier than c sections but for me vsg was worse than both of my c sections combined! My first c sections was great second was hard especially since I had an 18 month old but once I got home from vsg surgery I had more pain then I had even had in the hospital. Now that I'm over a month out things are much much better. It was just alot but I'd do it all.over again! -
So I had VSG on 2/23 and I didn't tell many people, maybe just handful. Not even my closest friends. For some reason it wasn't something I wanted to talk about. Well when I got back to work I got lots of great feed back which was nice. I ended up telling a few people i work with because i work with a heavy girl and she was talking aboit getting surgery. I wanted to share my story so she knows how great it could be. Well now people are starting talk and now almost everyone knows. I'm angry a little cause I guess people are gossiping. I just don't know how to feel about all of it.
