I gained my weight immediately after I had a hysterectomy. I tried different hormone medication and treatment.I went to weight watchers and medical weight loss centers.  I continue to gain weight over the years. A few year ago, I started looking into lap band  My decision to get serious about the surgery was when I started buying size 20 clothes.My blood pressure was going up, always tired, body aches and pain. My family and friends remember how active I was and would say when they saw me you gained so much weight. I did not want to go anywhere in public because of my size.  I'm glad I it did the surgery. I have told a few people and they are saying I didn't need the surgery because I'm not that big. I don't like how I look or feel at over 200 lbs. I miss going to all the charitable walks on Saturday and Sunday. I enjoyed walking three miles a day and other exercises. I missed volunteering my time to different charities and events. This is my I know the lap band surgery was right be. I can be me again.
