New can anyone answer my question
CamberAshley posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi I'm new here i got an email from my coordinator at my doctors office and said she would be sending my paperwork off to my insurance no later then today. I'm so excited. We are trying to get me in for surgery the first or second week of March. My question is will my insurance get a hold of me with a yes or no or will my doctors office? (Approval or denial) should I call my insurance company? I have assurant health insurance but use Aetna provider list so everyone always says I have Aetna. I'm so beyond ready to have my surgery and start my new life. Thank you in advance for any help you can give -
I've noticed Mexico surgeons don't require pre op diets like US Drs ?

How hard was it to take care of your kids after?

I'm scheduled for next Wednesday the 25th. The only thing I'm nervous about is I have a 10 yr old a 3 year old and a 7 month old. For those of you with little ones was it hard to take care of your little ones right after surgery? I will be home Thursday some time and my husband will be here until Monday morning. But then the rest of Monday to Thursday evening it's all up to me since husband will be back to work out of town. Any advice would help. Thank you -
I'm so excited I'm scheduled for Wednesday March 25th. They told me to start a 1,200 calorie diet two weeks before. My sister in law used the same doctor for her sleeve and in a year she lost 125 pounds! I'm praying I have a good success story like her

So my journey to wls hasn't been very long. I went to a seminar on January 24th then I did all of the things I had to. ( medical records, psychology meeting, two appointments with nutritionist and endoscopy). Today my doctors office called and said everything was sent to the insurance and it is pending and asked how soon I want to have surgery. Well I said asap and she said she wanted to put me on the schedule for Wednesday March 18th. But of course I had to say I can't do that day because it is two days before we leave for a big NASCAR vacation we take every year. Ughhh. So now she is calling me back tomorrow with another date that she can get for me. I'm praying my excitement bubble doesn't get popped by insurance by them denying me. My insurance company told me it usually take 3-5 days to give an answer. -

Has anyone had assurant health insurance for their bariatric surgery? I'm just wondering how long it took to get an answer if you had this insurance and was it pretty easy to get an approval?
