Getting to be impossible to lose!
LISA24 replied to akreese02's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have actually cut back working out so much and put a bit more carbs and fats back into my diet. Since doing that the scale moved a small bit ( 1 pound). I am hoping once I start back into my routine, that the scale moves a bit more. I am at 155 now and hoping to lost at least a pound a week and lost some more before my year anniversary. Best of luck to you! -

How are all the March 2015 sleevers doing?
LISA24 replied to akreese02's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Sleeved on March 9th. Down 99.4 pounds including my pre-op loss. Very happy overall. Just dealing with hair loss/thinning and sagging skin now. Would love to lose 20 pounds more but at a 3 month stall right now. -

I am 49 yrs old.. Had my surgery in March.. Started at 254.1 and now I am at 155.0. I am at a big stall as well. I have only lost 3 pounds over the last 3 months. I work out 5 days a week with 1 1/2 hours of Cardio/weights. My doctor says that I am actually working out too much and too long, that my body isn't taking in the calories to support my workout. My body is probably in starvation mode and that's why I am at a stall. Very discouraging. Dealing now with the sagging skin and hair loss. -
I am about 4 1/2 months out and I am also losing a lot of hair. It has also gone from being thick to really thin. I also started taking Biotin and have not seen much of a change. I almost hate to wash my hair more than 3 times a week because when I do it comes out in clumps. Hopefully in time it gets better.

Anyone whose goal weight is less than 100 pounds?
LISA24 replied to Essence46's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I started at 254, lost 16 pounds pre surgery. At surgery I was 238. I have never had a "big" weight loss any week. It's been very slow at 1-2 pounds a week with an occasional stall. I just had my 3 month follow up and weighed in at 198.6. So close to 40 pounds since my surgery. I work out 5-6 days a week, for 1-2 hours a day. I have a hard time getting all my fluids and food in. So my NUT wants me to cut back a bit on the exercising and add more calories, especially healthy fats, to "shake" up my metabolism. I get frustrated with such a slow weigh loss, but hopefully in 6 months I will be close to my goal at 150. Good luck with your weight loss. -
I am 11 weeks out from surgery. Had corn for the first time tonight and was SO sick. ????

Hi Spicy06, I also had it on the same day as you, March 9th, I wasn't offered the 1 incision. I had the 5 done. They are still sore and bruised still. I feel better as each day goes on. I had some blended cottage cheese yesterday which was such a treat seeing how everything is liquid. I am also holding everything down, but DEFINATELY can tell when I am full. Did you weigh yourself yet? I did the day I came home which was a mistake. I heard most people go up after surgery (which I did) But I weighed myself today and now I am way down. Best of luck to you and keep me posted on how you are doing. It helps to see people that had it the same time as me and how they are doing.

Hi.. I also was sleeved on March 9th.. I agree the first 2 days were aweful! I ended up staying 4 days in the hospital. The problem I am having is keeping my blood sugar stable. I am not diabetic, but I am getting low blood sugars and now have to test my blood sugar 6 times a day. Didn't expect that! They have to figure out now what is causing it and how to keep it in the normal range. I am not experiencing any hunger and it's hard to get in the liquids that's I am suppose to have for the whole day. I am feeling better as every day passes. I hope we all will feel better soon!
